I could not believe the negative comments, I can understand the posts about the poor play, no leadership but the number of posts Calling for the coach out, the club in crisis etc just massive over reaction. Do I want Wigan to win every game? Yes I do but that's never going to happen. The best Wigan teams lost games. I get sick of the moaning if every game does not end with a one sided Wigan win. Let's ignore the unbeaten home form. A new format for the play offs who knows how that will pan out Wigan are still in with a shout, Third in the table no team even the massively overhyped Rhinos has a massive lead in the table. No team has been consistent this year. I expect a reaction from the team tomorrow.
I expect a win.'"
If I can revert to a little bit of coach speak, it's about the performance rather than the result. I just want to watch forwards play like forwards and backs play like backs. Who knows, this tactic might help us win a few more games as well as making us better to watch, IMO of course.

I think you're clutching at straws if you think it won't.

| Quote: Aboveusonlypie "Tony Smith is the best coach in Super League. The Warrington owner isn't as stupid as their fans who may be calling for his head.
In both 2011 and 2012 there was a groundswell of opinion in Leeds that Brian McDermott wasn't up to the job, and that finishing 5th in the ladder wasn't good enough for Leeds. Thankfully for the Leeds club such informed opinion wasn't listened to by the Chairman. And might I respectfully suggest that Ian Leneghan won't be listening to the likes of you either.
Shaun Wane has earned his contract by winning the LLS in his first season and the double in his second, and but for a moment of madness would be celebrating a GF in the third. That, in my eyes, qualifies him to have an off season this year. He will be in charge next season whether you like it or not, so get used to it.'"
Chairmen don't listen to fans on sacking coaches but neither are they blind to how well they are doing the job and Wane is not doing his well at the moment. We got the same nonsense over Noble earning the right to keep his job because he saved us from relegation in 2006. The results didn't come and off he went. It's a results based profession and excuses don't count if you don't get them. The two early exits from the CC, which is where most money is to be made if you get to a final, won't be being written off as just bad luck by IL either.

That's a bit radical and left field, but I'm with you JJ!

This is nonsense. It'll never catch on.

IL honoured Noble's contract though Dave. He only replaced Noble at the end of his contract and brought Madge in. IMO unless Wigan find themselves out of the top 4 he will honour Shaun Wane's too. IL has never sacked anyone don't forget. There is of course every chance that we will finish out of the top 4, but let's not be too hasty eh?

| Quite right that Powell needs a good run, but in reality that good run should have been somewhere out on loan. When he comes on he looks too bulky. His passing from the floor is glacially slow and he has lost the pace that he once had. As a result everything slows down. Logan is still the better option as is Williams and even some of the other fringe players.
The real problem remains that our pack are not going forward enough. Once we change hookers we have no intensity in either forwards or backs because the distribution is so slow. I like to see Rocky running at defences but he is not going to turn around our beaten pack. Mr Wane seems to be making up for the packs lack of strength by putting an extra forward in.

He's definitely carrying too much weight.

| versus Leeds. Shock. Forwards make yards and backs suddenly look more comfortable.
