I actually thought he was poor last night - which is a shame as hes a good player. Not on the level of Finch, but a very good player nonetheless. We'll miss him.

Big miss, he always seems to play well and come up with a play in big games like yesterday, I think it was his pass to Burgess IIRC. By all accounts it will be George Williams who takes over but he was hit and miss a few months ago when filling in. I particularly remember a shocking performance from him at Bradford.

We went with a kid in Burgess to replace Richards and now nobody is missing Richards. Good players come and go but I predict George Williams to replace Blake and have the same impact within 12 months that Joe Burgess did. He will turn out to be better than Blake when he has fully matured.

| I will start by making it clear that BF's first punch deserved a sending off never mind the second one which was way OTT. He deserves whatever ban the RFL throw at him. While everyone is taking a moral high ground I should point out that it was Saints who came out of the blocks first with the aggressive high shots from Masoe and then Hoiaha. This is a man's game which is played hard by all and sometimes it boils over and on rare occasions it goes too far as in BF's case.

A young winger and a young stand off is different story IMO. Most backs start first grade with a run out as wingers to get them ready but asking a young guy to play 6 consultant each week is a big ask.

The other thing you get with youngsters is inconsistency. I like Williams and think he'll become a very good player but it's a big ask for either him or Powell, if that turns out to be the case, to fill Green's boots who's been a very big player for us. Personally I would have liked a senior option too but, I suppose, that's the price you pay for having such a strong production line. At some stage you'll get a situation where you either play players or risk losing them and I think both Powell and Williams, along with Hampshire, are simply too good to risk losing at this stage of their development. On the face of it I certainly think Saints go into next season with the better options at half which hasn't been the case for quite some time.

| Am I the only one who wants to see Rocky take over at 6 next year? He is too good to leave out next year IMO. I'd have him at stand off with one of Powell/Williams on the bench, then the year after we can always look at moving him to FB as we did with Sam Tomkins or put Tierney there depending on how he's getting on

I'd certainly like to see him given some game time there Grimmy. He could be a revelation long term. I think in the short term he'd be subject to the same problems as playing the other youngsters there, perhaps only more so. Ultimately, it depends on whether you're taking the long term view or not. Perhaps more significantly it depends, in these days of NRL poaching etc. whether you can afford to!

I would have Sarge at FB with Bateman going Centre and Rocky 6.

Be that as it may, theres a video of wane telling his team to be reckless and knock people out, and then one of his players does just that in another game. What conclusions do you expect opposition fans to draw?'"

| So Charlie that's where you get your one liners from?
When you really do a post will it be like the letter from Ted Lune's mother?
