The golden point extra time concept was only introduced to prevent fixture backlogs in earlier rounds and while it is good for avoiding the need for a replay and preventing fixture pile-ups it is an abysmal spectacle as the game always degenerates into a succession of one man drives followed by a drop goal attempt until one finally goes over.

Golden try would be a better system where a team had to score a try to win the game but with golden point I am happier to see a replay take place than such an anti-climactic finish.

Incidentally should there be a replay that then finishes in a draw as well (unlikely though that is) then that game would be decided by golden point to avoid the need for successive replays.

Thank God we dont use the same motorway to get down there - 170 coaches (that the club knows about) going from the Hull area, with many more being sourced from Birmingham, Doncaster etc to get people there.

Can anyone recommend a good park and ride along the tube somewhere for getting into wembley? WIll probably a bit better than being ripped off for somewhere near the ground.

If there is a replay, play the 19s against Hull and Leeds and get that 4th spot.

If you're going down the M1 then Stanmore is as good as anywhere.
If you go down the M40 then Ickenham or Ruislip are on a dirct line to Wembley and are just off the motorway.
