Tony Clubb: "This is a new exciting chapter of my life signing for Wigan and I couldn't be happier" 18/10/2013
Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

This.

Not this though. Stadiums don't create atmosphere, people do.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

| It's a shame that the South Stand singers don't sit in the back-middle of the stand like they used to do. Would be much easier to get WIGAN songs going than being tucked in the corner.

Exactly what I was going to say! Too difficult to get an atmosphere going from that corner, would be much better in the middle and also start songs that the majority of supporters know too! There were some cracking atmospheres in the early years of the Brigantes e.g. Saints away (at Widnes) in the playoffs, Saints Good Friday at home 2011 (farrell last minute try). The atmosphere is very poor these days, even in big games like Wire at home this year. I know S2 is a dedicated section to the Brigantes but maybe an idea to move to the middle, or at least some of them?

Not 100% sure here but there were around 6 not erected at the last game (Conroys got a better memory than me) but were up for previous games. Not sure if a couple that were taken by individuals to other away games have been returned???
The number we put up hasnt changed for the last 3 games, it was just I had some emails/calls from people stating that some of theirs hadn't been used for a few games so we decided to change them round as we didnt have time to do them all.
It's our way of Squad rotation to keep them fit for the Business end of the season!
Pretty sure, time permitting and bearing in mind it will probably be after Conroys done a 12 hours shift and I've used another days annual leave at work, we'll be able to get most if not all of them up this Thursday (Bearing in mind maximum we can get up us around 22 & last 3/4 games we've only managed to get around 15/16 up in time).'"
I know that the 'Wigan Way' flag was taken at the end of last season and is still out somewhere as were a few others that were stuck up on the walls of the South Stand. There used to be around 28 in the bag and we would pick 21/22 but there only seems to be around 20 nowadays and so we put about 15/16 up (usually 15 for symetry purposes)
which is the most we can realistically do with the timescale we tend to have and the fact that a large number of them need repairs/replacement ropes that we haven't had the time to sort out due to a number of things.
As JS put it, we're building it up for the business end of the season

| I'm not being sour here, you deserved the win and all that, but there was no atmosphere from the Wigan fans today. I know people have been complaining about it in previous games, but I thought Wigan fans'd find their voices for today.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

That's the trouble with these boring, one-sided games...
Seriously, though, I tend to agree with whoever it was that blamed the stadium. The acoustics are poor, for one thing - the atmosphere in the South was great, but I know from previous years in the East that the sound doesn't travel well outside the stand. All-seating doesn't help any, either.

| I sit in different stands from game to game. I was sat in the West not far from the North (Saints) stand. I know you were making a lot of noise but even as close as I was it was not that loud. Sadly, the stupid infantile sang that I could hear reminded me of the worst of our young supporters. Noise does not travel around the DW. WWhen Wigan were singing / chanting you could not hear clearly and neither could you when Saints fans were singing. Why do Saints fans have to lower themselves to pathetic scummy songs / chants when they have a fantastic range of chants / songs. 'Oh when the Saint's' is not far behind 'Old Faithful' as a chant but you spent most of the 80 minutes opting for 'your mum, your dad' garbage.
P.S Do you remember when Saints were dominant in SL and Wigan fans would come on forums saying at least we out sang them. Desparate
