| Quote: Conroy "Whats the problem in calling him a w@nker? He's a nothing player who thinks he's the dogs knackers and celebrates when he kicks a penalty (did it in the grand final). Not really sure that questioning his sex life is a major problem. They could have gone a lot further which would happen at football and has happened at Wigan many times in the past.'"
Pretty sure that's called homophobic abuse. I'd prefer it if we kept away from that, especially after Cas got fined 40k for it the other year. That's money that could be spent on player development or marketing.
re the Brigantes, singing the songs that people already know is obviously going to improve the atmosphere, which is what they were originally supposed to be about. It's not good singing a load of songs nobody knows and half the time can't make out, because they're not gonna catch on. Some cracking songs have been introduced, and we already have plenty good songs from before Brigantes were formed, so why not use them more often?

68153_1344079532.jpg I'm 46 and I've had triple heart bypass surgery but, I could still put in a pretty good performance at International Rugby Union. I wouldn't last two minutes in Rugby League. - Graeme Lowe:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_68153.jpg |

| Did you all miss the bit were they sang " he takes it up the a&?e"
Same as Cas, the club could get fined for that kind of behaviour. He is poor, deflated and of no importance so why single him out?

| Didn't understand singing "you've lost it 5 times..." to Foster personally. Yes he's still officially a Saints player but he's only played in 2 of the finals.

| Didn't seem anything more than pantomime from where I was sat - I'd forgotten he was on loan up there until we kicked off, and he'd have probably flown under the radar for the most part, had he not kept making errors. First time I can remember seeing him since the cringeworthy piece The Super League Show did on him. Seems a long time now since he was Saints poster boy at the start of the season.

| Instead of booing him maybe they should be supporting their own side a bit more. Foster has done nothing wrong to alienate anyone on here. All clubs have an element of idiots that will boo anyone who has played for their closest enemy. Booing him once as he gets the first ball might be ok but this went on for 80 minutes. Now as Cruncher says this is behaviour he normally associates with Wire - But have we not been doing this for years Long for one comes to mind. Its not associated with anyone club but with all clubs have this.
But last night it went on too long and i have only seen Sam get that sort of abuse.

With a comment like that I think you're the one with the childish excess, have a think about it.

I'm well aware that you trawl every single thread on this board so that you can immediately respond to even the slightest hint of disrespect towards your club, but with this one you're on a loser. In respect of crowd attitude, Wire have brought this level of mistrust on themselves. I've attended far too many matches over too many years, going back into the early 1970s and beyond, when the atmosphere generated by a certain section of your crowd far outweighed anything I've experienced anywhere else in RL in terms of aggression and hostility.
Things are not quite as bad these days, possibly because your team is finally getting regular success, but Wilderspool is the only RL ground I've ever known where a friend of mine was stabbed and another was bottled. Those kinds of memories don't go away quickly.
But just because you are easily bruised please don't ignore the main point of this thead - and that is the bad behaviour of certain WIGAN fans. I'm not just having a pop at your lot (though I'm sure it would help relations between Wire and everybody if you could get rid of that fat, drunken fool who always hangs around the HJ main doors after matches, looking to cause bother with the visiting team and staff when they're leaving).

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

I really think you ought to go look at the bile and vitriol laddled out on your own board before you have a pop at us.

| I can see why he gets stick, he tries to be the Ronaldo of R.L minus the talent. He's worried way too much about his image and hair products to be taken seriously.

| Nothing wrong with being a pantomime villain lets face it what ever was said/chanted about Foster is nothing compared to what Sam has taken in the past. The couple of major differences are that it doesn't bother Sam but it does to Foster, Sam is a good rugby player and last of all the muppets on Sky never built Sam up as he is the David Beckham of RL unlike Foster. If it puts some one off their game and they have a match to forget then all good sometimes it works against you and the player has a blinder, fortunately this time it worked.

[quote="Pemps":1dso5atj]I can't confirm Bennett's exact words but I believe they were along the lines of "Strewth Ian, I wouldn't touch him with yours. He's a flammin' Gala". [/quote:1dso5atj]

| Highlight of the game was Foster making the V.R square (accompanied by a rather smug nod of the head) to Child after his try. Only for the V.R to disallow it as his foot was 5 inch in touch.
