I'm just going to tell my mates that St Helens are so embarrassed from the hiding we gave them on Good Friday that they decided not to bother.

| The fact that the north stand will be empty won't really impact the overall attendance imo, If we could still get near 20 k then that would still be a good achievement for a cc game. Get the north stand covered with flags and have 3 full stands bouncing with noise.... Whats the problem?

Your totally correct we are not the only club who are compromised by other sporting fixtures and the RFL have totally neglected this through lack of competence. Fundamentally the RFL have failed in their scheduling, 30 days for 3 challenge cup matches and then a 9 week break untill the semi finals
Yes, it was our CC QF against them two years ago....weather-wise, the day was a shocker, and the irony was the cricket (Yorkshire-Lancashire) was abandoned.

| All joking aside...
...this could have been a great day out for both sets of fans and look great on free to view tele, yet it's been a farce since the draw was made.

Yep, we've played Leeds twice in the cup at Headingley when the crowd has been restricted due to a county game on. But England are playing a one day on the 22 June and a test match on 2-6 August when the Whinos wouldn't be allowed to play and they'll have told the RFL this when we did last October.
It's just the nature of the relationship various clubs have for a variety of reasons and as far as I'm concerned is no biggie and should be relatively straight forward to work through - however your average numbskull, waste of space, knuckle dragger is too thick to appreciate this, and it seems to include the RFL on this occasion.

| Due to a scheduling conflict, the couple are now looking at alternate venues for the wedding. Possible venues include Leigh, Warrington and Bolton. There is a 61-page thread on weddingfans.com lamenting the possible change of venue...

| Will Wigan fans now stop swallowing the line about the '24 hour rule' now? It doesn't exist.

It hasn't been difficult over the past few days, I have kept quiet over this and if you even bothered to read a comment I have made elsewhere I actually stated I could see the argument from Wigan but I think that this is a severe lack of foresight on behalf of the stadium organisers - I am not blaming Wigan RLFC on this as this may not have been their booking, but the events team at the stadium need to be questioned. On this point there is no fault of the RFL!

Most of us know that already, it was only pointed out about a million times on the other thread. If you're that desperate to make a point you'll need to find something better than that.

| Pleased for you.
The RFL are a total waste, get Lewis as far away as possible as soon as possible - the rest should then be removed as priority #1

Before any sporting fixtures are drawn up, exceptions will be brought into the preparation of fixtures, thats a fact. I can remember these being the case in the 70's for football matches so there were no clashes.
Wigan advised the RFL of this possible problem, thats a fact as well. But thanks for trying to make a point, however pointless.
