| Seeing as the headline on BBC website is 'Featherstone draw cup champions Wigan' I think its fair to say they consider this the highlight of the draw so you'd imagine they will pick it as their TV game.

I'd like us to be on TV but Warrington v Bradford or Salford v Leeds will be much better games than Wigan putting 40+ on Fev.

Just remind us again how many key players did Saints have missing in last years grand final ?
When did you actually last beat a strong Saints or Warringtom team ? Don't include beating us last year at the HJ, we had a lead of around 14pts and were cruising then we lost both Briers and Monaghan, another example of Wigan capitalising on other teams misfortunes.[/quote:qtnftxzx]

| Does the train go past the ground still? Assuming not as IIRC it was a coal freight train that slumbered past every so often. I remember a game back in the early eighties and Wigan had a scrum feed, past the ball out and one of our players (think it was Wendy Whitfield) was day-dreaming watching the train go past. The whole section of the Wigan crowd shouted at him to catch the ball, think he dropped it or it went in touch.

| Cracking little draw and another chance for fev to show what they can do against the big boys. On a selfish note I hope the game is Friday night as its my stag do on the Saturday!

| Quote: phil stone "Great draw for us, would have prefered to get Oldham at home and meet you lot in the next round but financially this is a cracking draw for us and will help keep us in the spotlight for a week or two.
For us to win you'd need to rest all your first team but it won't stop Fev fans being optimistic after beating our closest rivals.
When you get there if you see all the steelwork and concrete behind the ground they are our new stands we obtained from Scarborough. Hopefully if we play you again in a year or so if our Destination SL campaign works then you'll be sitting in one of those.
Hope you come in big numbers and enjoy your visit, looking forward to seeing you all whatever day it's played'"
Think it is safe to say we will come in big numbers, another ticket scramble, seems a long time since I went to POR, do you lot like drums and flags Looking forward to it, old skool.

| Looking forward to this. Having only been following Wigan away since '99 this is one of the few grounds I've not been to.

| Still one of my favourite Challenge Cup memories as a kid, was watching Fev beat Hull in the 1983 final against all odds (on a par with Sheffield beating us in 9icon_cool.gif. Remember watching on telly and hoping one day that Wigan would get there, only had to wait 12 months.

Featherstone Rovers - Co-Operative Championship League Leaders and Champions 2011: |
|
| I'm chuffed to bits with this draw, never thought I'd see the day when the mighty Wigan graced Post Office Road again.
Should be an easy win for you, but then again........
Already started the needle with my old man, who's a Pie at heart, although he's been a Flat Capper since moving over to the posh side of the pennines in 1967

Homer thats a grand old Yorkshire name if I ever heard one.
As for (fert) the posh side of the penines there is one thing that allways sticks in my mind every time I return from Yorkshire in the late afternoon .
That is when I reach the crest of the hill at Saddleworth on the M62 and look down on Lancashire and all I can see is the Lancashire pain bathed in evening sunshine.
But when I look into the rear view mirror all I can see is the approaching darkness.
Really though I am chuffed to be playing a team who in the 50s and 60s ( and even later)
caused fear in opponents who had to go there. Good luck.
