i'll go along with most of that FT.
i think a lot of posters who are screaming for Hock to be the best second row in superleague, forget that the world class form they saw at 2nd row was 3 years ago. Hes older, and hasnt got the youthful athleticism and the turn of foot, etc,...hes still a good 2nd rower, but IMO he can be a WORLD CLASS prop.
hes got the strength, hes faster than any present superleague prop, and......hes got the "biff factor"...the "dont mess with my team mates " factor.........chuck him in at prop and watch him go...............light the blue touch paper, sit back, and enjoy some biff.........  | | | |

Do you know Gareth Hock personally do you? He's worked tremendously hard to get himself back on track. I cant take anyone that uses the words "dumb ass" seriously anyway.
Knock on's and silly offloads are both things that can be corrected with the right coaching, anyone who knows anything about Rugby League and people high up in the game will all tell you that he has the potential to be a world class second row forward, he has pace, power, he can step, he has the size, his defence is solid and he has a huge passion for the game.

Tbh ill take bake bean boogie on because he's right- Gaz Hock is hyped into something hes not by thousands of wiganers and the gaz hock love-a-thon on these boards is a joke IMO.
He is a player who has continully let us down - manhandling refs / taking drugs / gouging players etc - He's thick as two short planks and unfortunately simply isn't clever enough to be a world class second row forward that people claim he can be 'on his day'.
The only time he looks world class 'on his day' are when his dumb offloads are lucky enough to come off and make him look good -He doesnt have the intelligence to know when and when not to offload and simply offloads at all costs - Sometimes this makes him look awesome but for every good ball there is a stupid one that loses us possession - this has always been the case with gaz hock. He's Danny Sculthorpe all over again! Plus the fact he's grossly indisciplined and will give away two penalties a game.
World class forward always makes me laugh - he could be world class if he had a brain but unfortunatlely Hock struggles for the odd brain cell never mind a brain.
I hope he does prove me wrong, but unless he suddenly becomes an absolute world class forward of jamie peacock standards for the final 4-5 years of his career, he'll always have taken more than he's given.
Im with Baked bean boogie the gouging incident should have been the end, we should have finished him. He's a prat plain and simple and he'll never be what people on these boards make out!

gerr'emonside, i don't think that anybody who post and reads here would disagree with all the negatives you agree with BBB on. However, i am happy that most people who post here have a more positive approach... I for one would rather have him on the inside pi$$ing out, than on the outside pi$$ing in, to butcher an old saying.
