| The problem is mate if England don't make the final the crowd would be down around the 18-20,000 mark and that would look pretty poor.
I suppose we should have more confidence in our ability though inparticular against the Kiwi's. We've beaten then in 10 of the last 11 games in this country so we always look likely to make these finals.
Saturday at the City of Manchester would have been great in a way because I think we'd have come close to selling that out but one thing it wouldn't give us that Elland Road will is an intimidating atmosphere. The Stands aren't close to the field like at Leeds and that could play a big part.
I hope the Aussies get booed at all points bar during the Anthem on Saturday.

Agreed, we should boo them as they warm up. Boo through their anthem. Whistle for their first set of six and ruin them when they are stood behind the goals.
Back to the stadium issue, doesn't ER look just as bad with only 20k on?
20k at Eastlands would pretty much fill the bottom tier. Wouldn't look too bad. Like you say, from now on we need to be confident we can beat either Aus or NZ and get to the final every time.

| I wouldn't boo the Anthem as that should always be treated with respect imo but at any other opportunity they should be getting it full on.
I like your idea of selling the bottom tier at Man City first. That would have an effect like the Wembley game and would look ok even at 20000. We need to move away from Elland Road as it's simply not up to scratch and the capacity seems to go down each year as Ken Bates wants to install more hospitality areas to make money from.
Somebody on the VT said City are installing a new pitch so they can stage more future events so that sounds promising for the future.

The city Manchester stadium would be great, but would Man city make it available at this time of year?they dont need the money like Leeds united do.Ive just though I also hope there is some adverse weather it may affect the Aussies,I know we have had games with bad weather before against them and they have still beat us,but we can hope

It is times like this when I feel annoyed that our sport did not have the vision to have our own national stadium many years ago.
RL would be much better off with its own Twickenham in the North, all the finals and semi-finals could be played there along with internationals, gigs etc.
All the other major sports in the UK have a home and it benefits them....
Fooball - Wembley
Formula1 - Silverstone
Cricket - Lords
Rugby Union - Twickenham
Tennis - Wimbledon
Golf - St Andrews
Rugby League - ??????????
Even Athletics and cycling will now have homes after the Olympics.
RL loses out bigtime.
Before anyone tries to claim Wembley as the home of RL, the FA own it, we play 1-2 games a year there. It is not a home.
It is something the RFL should be looking towards long term in my opinion.

That would be great ,but how would it work?I know it could be hired out etc,Where would the RFL get the finances from?Maybe build a state of the art 45k stadium and set up A club not bothered which club to use it?

| I'm in the Revie Stand, block N12, can't wait.....the only problem in 2009 was the leg room, it's a bit tight.
C'mon England!

| Another four for N12. It says severely restricted view though so I'm probably watching a girder!

| L43 reet at the back. Looks like the entire upper East tier has now been opened for sale via the Leeds United official site

Wembley was built as a football/RL stadium. So why not consider Wembley as home? Its better than Twickenham anyway.

The key word. We could consider it as a home, or try to. But people will always see it as a football stadium. On top of that we have to pay to use it every single time.
I would rather the RFL had an asset it could use to make and save RLsome money.
