What makes you and wire any more deserving than leeds or saints?

Agreed but come on ? Leeds have lost 11 games this season. Wire & Wigan 5 & 4 respectively. Leeds & Saints have hit form but haven't been as consistent all year have they.

The system is what it is and under that system the right 2 teams are going to the GF but if I were a Wire player/director/coach I would be absolutely gutted and feel as though my "consistent" efforts were a waste of time.

I get what your saying gary, but that's just the way the cookie crumbles and unfortunatly wigan won't be contesting this years grand final despite finishing second in the league ladder

The league is all about getting yourself in a good position for the play-offs. There can be no excuses for us and wire, we got the best two spots but didn't deliver when it really mattered end of. Saints and Leeds both thoroughly deserve to be in the final.

History only remember the winners and not whether leeds weren't all that.

History will remember saints 2006 as very special.

Under the current system there is no argument to that BUT where is the reward for consistency ?

If you can be Champions by losing 11 games and then hitting a bit of form at the end of the season, there is something wrong isn't there.

Yes they have. Saints did it in 2006. In fact, they won the treble and then went on to win the following WCC too.

I don't think Wigan fans should complain about the system after losing to the same team twice in the play-offs. Wigan haven't been the same force since beating Leeds at Wembley, a new coach might be just what they need.

We just lost form for the last 4 games of the season in the same way Leeds lost form for the first 27 games.

Warrington deserve to be champions. They have been fantastic this season. Am i right in thinking they did the double over Wigan, Saints and Leeds this year?

The system doesn't effect us. We finished 2nd. Its that a team aren't rewarded for being the best over 8 MONTHS and yet a team who can be the best over 1 MONTH can be. We are complaining for the sake of our sport and our league The 27 league campaign will be become obsolete(sp?) and people will stop buying tickets if striving to finish 1st means nothing. The intensity will drop too. It'll ruin the game.
