| Sadly live in St Helens and the Reporter is a joke for its reporting on Saints games. If they win, it is because they are magnificent/untouchable/blessed with the best talent available. If they lose they were unlucky/cheated by the refs/not given the rub of the green.
I think they expect that everyone in St Helens supports Saints. Well, they must do because the reporting is so cockeyed to be anything like the games themselves.

Isn't it just the same in Wigan? I've read Wigan papers and the journalists are no different. Not everyone in Wigan supports the Warriors. You must have missed reading the paper when the journalists have been putting the team down etc. Or you turn a blind eye to it.

Well I get it every week and yet have to see the reporter give a less than rose tinted view on saints games..of course I expect them to be biased as you point out the same can be said for Wigan papers..but the point of the thread was to do with the comments of Simmonds they just happened to be in the reporter.

To be fair a local paper isnt gonna slate a local team too harshly are they? They wont get another interview ever! Its not rocket science

I think he had a lot more to smile about than anyone your side of the hill. If you wanna talk about dour, incommunicative, personality free coaches let's have a chat about your coach designate eh.

Nobody would pretend that pace was ever Wello's biggest attribute. However, if you have Sky+, take a look at his first try and you'll see he was quick enough to waltz round three of your defenders. Bunnykins included.

| When Saints lost in the last minute on Good Friday afterwards Simmons was asked how he felt about losing it at the end he said "well it's better than laying 2000 bricks a day".
I've never heard that one used by a coach before.

Should know by now its on that ridiculously long list of things only Wigan do! Think its inbetween only team to have 3 men make a tackle and only team to pass the ball forward!! Not far away from only team to have a coach who doesnt moan to the media about other teams or the ref and only team to have full time players pre super league!!

Wigan go a long way, inflicting serious injuries on the opposition. John Stankevitch is still not happy about the goon finishing his career.

Let's add to the matter that Stinkybitch was a pile of turd anyway it doesn't really matter.
St Helens fans in whinge about Wigan shocker. Worry about your own team.

Really? So JS himself says "It's something and nothing" here: rugbyleaguebooks.com/2011/05/bei ... -part-two/
But he took it to court anyway, on the advice of a "goon". I look forward to the death of sports due to litigation between participants (I wonder who I can blame for a knee and back), I wonder if anyone in a Wigan shirt missed any game time/earnings due to a Saint's player?
Judder - really? One of the most pathetic posts I have seen for a good while.

| @Judder - I seem to remember that Sean O' suffered an ACL injury thanks to a Saint's tackle that put him out of the game for a good while. And, Long was a broken cheek, not jaw and associated bits. Stop being a drama queen.

Yes you are wrong. LMS was banned for putting pressure on the back of Morley's neck. If you don't believe me, look it up on the RFL site. Morely's eye injury occurred as a result of him getting a tackle wrong. He did it all by himself.
Incidentally, Rogues, our coach has a terrific sense of humour. Ask anyone who has been to any forum where he has been on the panel. He is fooking hilarious. My favourite forum was when Simmons, Wilkin and LMS were on the panel (along with one of your former players whose name I've forgotten). They had us in stitches.
But he has every right to complain about high tackles going unpunished. High tackles are potentially fatal.
