| Speaking of Joel, saw him in the trafford centre a few weeks back, and a lad in a bradford fan strolled past and casual as you like shouted, "D"ya like dags". Joel just laughed and walked on, very very funny.
Edit: Shirt not Fan.

No known famous fans. Town apparently goes into hibernation when rugby league season ends.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1956.jpeg |

| Anyone got that pic of John Monie with the Championship trophy and Challenge Cup on the pitch at Central Park? Looked for it for years. Think it was 1991?

| Quote: Conroy "Latics have the Division 2 and 3 titles, the Auto Windscreens replica, the Championship promotion shield they were presented with and numerous other things that highlight their success and achievements such as things they've been presented with by the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and the FA. Isn't that what a trophy cabinet is for??
There are GB caps in there as well which were presumably presented to Wigan by players or their families. Should they be taken out as well?'"
I have to agree with some of the Wigan posters in this thread....although I'm a Wire fan, IMO it's embarrassing to have those Latics trophies in a Wigan rugby league cabinet. Is it asking too much to let Wigan RL have their own cabinet and be able to display some illustrious rugby league history without some crappy pennants from a vastly less successful football club. It's not just the issue of sharing, its that there's a huge difference in history between the respective clubs. If it was Man United sharing with Wigan RL it would be different.
If I was Dave Whelan I'd have had Wigans RL history as the main part of the DW stadium, make it like the Nou Camp or Old Trafford where all those chinese tourists come round to have a tour and look at all the history like a museum, let Latics have a small corner of their own but market it primarily as rugby league.

I highly doubt Chinese people would come to Wigan to look at our trophies

| You never know, they only got into football relatively recently, China is opening to the world, why not try and show them rugby league.
Maybe we can get some new investors into the game, Chu Sum Pi and his Korean mate Sen Trul Park to buy a controlling stake in Wigan.
