Just a little bit... Today has highlighted the real idiot Wire fans all over here and on Twitter, hopefully they will all be back in hiding within the next few weeks.

I'd prefer it if you, from a club who wouldn't count as a great rival at the moment, explains why he has brought this on himself.

| It wasn't a trip, leg never made contact. It was a slap to the face and was rightfully penalised. Should probably have been sin binned near the end for persistent offside.

| Quote: Cronus "First of all, point out where I've said it's jealousy? Oh, you can't, because I haven't. So wind yer neck in.
Yes, he infuriated people with some niggly aspects of his play but he had in fact eliminated most of them this season (trapping arms, etc), and this was widely accepted. But still the hatred and abuse continued, including the England booing. Now there's 2 fairly minor incidents in a week and the lynch mobs are circling.
I watch him every home game at the DW. When he's lining up for kick-off he stands on the dead-ball line, obviously very close to the away supporters for half the game. Almost every time some well-'ard prick (or indeed a good few of them) decides he's the man who's gonna tell little Sam just what he thinks of him. And 99.9% of the time he ignores it.
The abuse he receives is ridiculous and getting worse. Why shouldn't he just say, "screw it. I don't need this." RU crowds certainly wouldn't treat anyone in that manner.'"
I don't think trying to kick Jon Clarke in the face is a minor incident to be honest pal. I understand about the booing and abuse is uncalled for. I think he could help himself though, I put a lot of it down to him being a winner and wanting to anything it takes to win, which is a good trait to have. I've said it before and I will say it again, the boy is the Ronaldo of rugby league.

No amount of "ifs and buts" will change the result, a penalty here or there would have made no difference. One team had to win and it showed. Wire dominated from the kick off.

| It wasn't a trip. Just a lazy arm after Tomkins had wrongfooted him. I'm more peeved that he wasn't sinbinned for about 3pens inside the space 5mins in the 2nd half. Now that was a joke...

So sticking your leg out in front of someone doesn't constitute a foul, because he missed?
And if someone throws a punch and misses, that's not a foul either?
You're right about sin-binning him at the end, but he should've been off the pitch already for an attempted trip.

Then there was the Microphone Head (what's his name) 'try' which he pushed Josh Charnley... of course Josh has the ability to change his direction in mid-air... Let's face it, Warrington won, and were the better team today, but the score-line is not a reflection on the actual running of the game.'"
absolute tripe, atleast most wigan fans on here can accept the defeat with grace, your just making a fool out of yourself.

He hardly tried to kick him in the face, what he did was to try and stop the try in the only way he could at that moment. Now I don't agree with doing that, as it can be dangerous, but its made out to be worse when people like you try to convince us all that Sam just wanted to kick Clarke in the face. I can fully except the defeat and thought Wigan were awful and well and truly outclassed, but with that in mind some Wire fans then think that Wigan have no right to mention any of the incidents that went against us.

I'd certainly agree with the first part of your statement. OK, it was dangerous, but it was a spur of the moment thing and he certainly didn't make contact with John Clarke's head. It warranted what it got, a quick word from the ref. I also haven't seen any suggestions that Sam wanted to kick Clarke in the face (and if he did his aim was awful!).
The problem has been that some Wigan fans seem to be picking out relatively minor matters to deflect from the Hock incident. One fan on the VT has even suggested it wasn't the correct tackling technique. The Morley tackle was dealt with at the time, and any suggestion that lima wasn't in the wrong with Matt King is ridiculous. Since when was hair pulling part of the game?

There's currently a 14 page thread about the hock incident, so hardly deflecting from it, because Hock did that does it mean that any other incidents can just be forgotten about? and I wouldn't call it a minor matter. Fair enough Its not as serious as a gauge to the eyes but tripping is still a bad offence to commit.
Morley did attempt to trip sam. His leg blatantly moves towards sam but he'd already been penalised for the high shot. Of course steve and eddie didn't start crying about it which means it can't of really happened then?

If Sam was trying to kick him in the head he would of took it clean off, it was point blank range for god sake. He tried to block the ball from being grounded, he did not attempt to injure any player in doing that. It was dangerous and obviously its not allowed and if he had actually stopped it being grounded then im sure he would of been punished.
