| Quote: Wandering Warrior "Weve done enough this season to be top of the league at this point. We are also the current champions. We dont have to play our best every game to win especially against teams like Castleford. Luck doesnt come into it, we are top of the league for a reason. Weve been the best team so far.
You can moan all you want about dodgy decisions last night but without them when we played at your place you wouldnt of had a sniff of a draw so its all swings and roundabouts.
We dont go out to win in the same way every game at all, we play to the schedule and try to manage our resources to get the best results over a full season. You are Castleford underestimating the proffessionalism of Wigan?

| Quote: jungle man "This just gets better. God where do you all come from?? You are saying that the decisions went against you when we played at ours?????? Jeeesss. Where have I said anything about Wigan not deserving to be top of the league? League tables do not lie. We had this thrown at us when we were top, as we hadn't "played" anybody. You can only beat what's in front of you. The point I was making is Maguire did not say to the players "just go out and give 75% that will be enough to beat these", as it doesn't work that way. If you think it does, then that's another debate at another time. You probably didn't play to your best and if you manage your resources, you would have played a team mixed with reserves, but credit has to go to us in the way we stopped you from doing the things you do best. The "try" was scored when the score was 16-16 so was a big moment in the scheme of things.'"
Did you see the Leigh v Batley game tonight? Leigh were awarded a similar try by the video ref. Its called dummy running.

Yep. An art that has been spoiled by terrible decision making.
I fully expected it to be disallowed, but for all the wrong reasons.

| Quote: jungle man "What a load of tosh. At least be humble in victory and give credit to a young/massively under strength Cas team. Are you telling me that you were superior to us with the amount of players we had missing?. Unless it's Leeds, Wigan, Saints and Warrington, no one else has injury problems. The simple fact of the matter is that diabolical decision to allow Carmonts try changed the game. That incident is obstruction 10 times out of 10, but for some reason Bentham thought bowling over a player in the defensive line is OK. In regards to Ferres, the ball looked lodged between the players legs after they started to get back up. After those 2 decisions, I was ready for TRY or PENTALTY TRY to appear on the screen after JL lost the ball under the sticks!!!. At this moment in time, there is only one winner of Super League 2011 and it's not you lot that's for sure!!!'"
Maybe you could take your own council and be gracious in defeat. Or does only apply to everyone BUT you?

No where have I said we was robbed or owt daft like that! And I won't be
But for pies to say they no better than the bloke who has the final say on how the rules should be interpreted sums up how arrogant and deluded some of you are. No suprise to anyone.'"
So you believe in infallible officials now do you Wilko? Strange that, because you never have in the past. Or maybe you only do when it suits your argument.
FYI Cummins' opinion on this is no more valid than mine and in this case even your assertion that only the revised opinion matters is incorrect. In actual fact, the only 'correct' decision was the one given on the night. The rest is merely hindsight and second guessing and I know FOR A FACT that it was no try.
HTH.

| Quote: Rogues Gallery "No matter what Cummings says McGuire lost control of the ball, it went forward and hit the ground. It's a knock on.
If he was correct, how long do you leave it before you call the knock on, does the ball have to bounce above knee height? McGuire only tried to kick the ball because he lost control.'"
People seem to think I'm arguing the refs got it wrong. I'm not. I'm saying the refs on revue say the call was wrong. that is a fact.

Nope but to say cummins is wrong when be decides how the rules should be interpreted is daft. I think the bloke is a muppet. But im not daft enough to think I know better than blokes who do the job full time.
People think they could do better but they couldn't! And if people think they really could! Then man up and go do it coz it's not that hard to get into.
But people don't have the brains, fitness, effort or bottle to get off their ar$es and do it.
you will have to look long and hard to find a post where I hammer a ref for my teams loss.

water off a ducks back. I'm a dyslexic so i make pretty basic errors some times but I don't need a lesson from you. I've heard it all before.
The son comment makes you look like a right numpty! Typical from some know nowt newbie.
But I wouldn't mind been back at school as the kids in Sydney are off this week and even though it winter it's been in the high teens to 20's so I'm in shorts n T's.

| I don't like complaining too much about officials, but (even as a Leeds fan) I can't get on board, as they say, with Mr Cummins on this one. For me it is probably a matter of interpretation of the laws. I think (hard to be sure) that McGuire intended to kick. However I don't for a second think he intended that kick to be a drop kick and simply lost the execution under pressure. I can see that a very inflexible interpretation of the laws might just yield a decision of "try" but for me the common sense decision was the one made on the night.
Not that I wouldn't have taken it had the try been given you understand.

Thank you! Leeds fan with sense.
This is what happens when you apply sense to the decision making. If he was in a position where a dropgoal would have been a viable option then fine but he wasnt he was attempting to kick through and tomkins got his arm as he dropped the ball to kick and this meant it hit the ground first. Simple!
I dont care what Cummins says tbh because he may "make the rules" but hes also wrong all the time. And as for Ganson he will only admit he got it wrong to not make Cummins look stupid to "fall in line" I dont for a second believe that Ganson actually feels he got it wrong.
