He was huge a few months back make no mistake about it. He looks a bit leaner now but that's to be expected once he started training full-time again.

We are all dying to see him feature, but let's be sensible and quantify how much more impact Hock will have once fully ready.
Madge throw Finch into the deep end v wire after less time away, I feel this proved to be a mistake.'"
This is my view. I hope people don't expect too much from him when he comes back.

| Finch came back from injury, Hock is coming back from 2 years of training in the gym, I bet Madge and Wane have had him on a pre-season style of training since he came back and I bet he will find his feet pretty quick.
However I don't think we should expect his best rugby straight away. I think we may have to put up with him dropping a few balls and a few missed tackles untill he gets used to the systems.
If he can find some of his old form though we have a world class player on our hands. We also have the sh*t house people have wanted for years.

Quote: "MICHAEL Maguire is banking on the Gaz factor bringing out the best of his forwards tonight!
The coach says the battle for domination between the two packs will be crucial in deciding who will win the mouth-watering derby against St Helens (kick-off 8pm).
And if the two points and bragging rights weren’t enough incentive for the Warriors forwards, Maguire reckons the pending return of Gareth Hock should ratchet up the performance levels another notch.
Hock is back in the frame next week after a two-year doping ban and, if as expected he is thrust straight back into the spotlight, one of the current stars will have to miss out.
Maguire prides himself on picking his teams on form, making the televised blockbuster at Widnes’ Stobart Stadium this evening the last chance for players to tighten their grip on first-team spots.

| After that performance tonight, who would you drop to give Hock a bench spot?

| I'd be very surprised to see Hock thrown into the deep end next week.
Would absolutely love to see him play though.

| Tuson played for about 20 minutes tonight from memory so I see no reason why Hock couldn't manage that next week.
I like Tuson and he was better tonight but he's got things to work on and a little rest will do him no harm.

| Would definitely be Tuson though I thought he played very well tonight. Still think Farrell is being a bit unlucky to miss out. Maguire isnt usually one to change a winning team so I wouldnt be suprised if Hock isnt in the 17 next week though I really hope he is!

Same for me . If a forward drops out you bring Farrell in IMO.
Hock has to earn his place in the under 21's first .

Agree with all that.
I am sure Madge will have briefed him to run straight, tackle hard and DO NOT offload. I expect him to go ball out for perhaps 2 10 minute sessions, safe in the knowledge that he will get rested during the game.
Let him get his feet back and allow more expression in his game.
I dont expect a world beating performance, but i must admit i will a little peeved if i don not see 100% effort.

| I think Hock will get a bit of game time in the nines at Whitehaven on Tuesday week and get a bench spot for the Cas game on 6th July.
Think about it from a commercial pov.
Huddersfield, tickets selling well, THr Big One Three.
Leeds, the Sam Tomkins booing factor.
Cas, Hock makes his return. It'll add a couple of thousand on the attendance on a Wednesday night.

Personally I dont think Maguire is the kind of coach that would even think about attendances when picking his best 17, or even let anyone (IL) push him in that direction
