Perhaps he can pop down to Saints and pass some aggression on to our young forwards, who seem to be coached to be complete pushovers.

We'd have lost y'day without Joels aggression. We looked completely flat all day and only really sparked into life after the incident with Yeaman.

Havn't seen anyone going OTT, in fact most are saying it was silly as oppose to thugish (which is being kind). He deserves two matches and he'll get it.

I don't consider Joel Tomkins to be a dirty player, but as I've mentioned elsewhere he is very petulant and seems to have a massive chip on his shoulder. McGuire needs to have a word because I don't want to see real talent go to waste.

He doesnt deserve two matches at all he hit the chest first. A high shot isnt given if you bounce off the chest like that so why should he get banned?

IMO, it's Sam's charge we should be more worried about for two reasons.

1 - His is a lot harder to defend, as 'running in and punching' doesn't leave much wiggle room.

2 - We can cope without 1 second-rower for a couple of games. Being without Sam, Gleeson, Richards and potentially Deacon put a lot of strain on the backs.

The disciplinary board have all evidence and I trust them to make the right call. We will see who is correct.

Besides whether he hit chest first or not he went in with the obvious intention of hurting Yeaman and that in it's own should constitute a ban. Throw in the brawl aswell and I would be amazed if he escapes a ban.

Fwiw Yeaman should get a game or two aswell.

Intention of harming means nothing to the RFL we should know that by now. You can swing an arm and miss and nothing happens you wont get anything unless you make contact whether the intent was clearly there or not.

Intention to hurt isn't the same as intention to hurt someone illegally. When you go in for a big hit you intend to hurt the player. When you go in with too much aggression you're more likely to make a basic mistake, which is what I believe Joel did by leaning into the tackle to put more force behind it. I also don't think they can factor in the brawl, he hasn't been cited for it and it appears Yeaman was the instigator so that could in fact be used in mitigation.

Yeaman started it which is why he should get a ban too, but Joel was harldy cowering away was he, he needed no invitation to start throwing some if his own.

Look, obviously all your players are angels in your eyes so there's not much point carrying on this discussion.
