AFAIK The only reason it was never played at Headlingley was due to the undersoil heating. Obviously the RFL felt that Huddersfield was a safer bet at that time of year.

No reason the WCC should not be played at the DW.
It was held there in 2000 when Saints played Melbourne.
Whether the Aussies will want it on their patch this time is one thing, if it is to be held here then we will play it on our own ground.
If everyone who went to Old Trafford turns up to see the WCC then it could be a sell out!

I wouldd like us to go and beat them on their own patch.
The WCC for me is not taken seriously as it should be by the Aussies. They need to put it at the end of the season as IMO it is more of a pre season friendly than the highest level of rugby league like it should be.

Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club.
We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens.
Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before.

Reebok Reebok Reebok why the flipping eck do people want to goto the Reebok, it aint in our town and only holds 2.5k more than the DW. I doubt that we would get 20k on if it went to the bloody Reebok!! Daftest idea ive EVER heard!!

It has to be played at Wigan, or Sydney at StG/Ill home ground.
Forget Bolton, Goodison or anywhere else if it's to be played in this country.
Hope it's here, however, if it is to be played in Sydney hopefully the club will organise a trip for fans who want to make the trip.

As far as I'm aware there are no restrictions on Where it can be played but the rfl prefer all seated stadiums. I believe that, coupled with the capacity at headingley been only around the 22k mark, is to why we've played it at elland road the past 3 yrs
