You obviously don't watch Wigan very much. We are playing some very exiting rugby this year and our attack he been transformed from a very boring spectacle to something very good to watch. Watching us attack last season was awful at times. There is nothing negative about how we play this season.
What you are really complaining about is the other aspect of the game, the defence and frankly it's getting boring people going on about it because all it is, is good defensive tactics.

| The better side on the day lost......Wigan's tactics of kick and chase were perfect on a rainy day...whereas Leeds' ponderous bringing the ball out was almost bound to end with a spilled ball.
I wanted Leeds to stuff Wigan, but I can appreciate given their dumb tactics, Leeds were lucky to win.
I don't think Wigan can reproach themselves.

| Not posted on here for while, but feel prompted to today. I always read 'rogues' comments with interest, he is not a bad judge but his comment about 'rather lose by 20' suprises me. We were the better team and I would always rather lose close than by 20 points. Sam Tomkins with hindsight should have kicked instead of the lofted pass, but credit to Hall for anticipating it, had he kicked it could have gone dead, who knows. Some daft penalties but shocking decisions by the ref, Peacock had 2 goes at Tomkins. Senior kicking out could have been innocent, but i doubt it. farrell should not have been sinbinned, he was in the air and committed. Ask yourselves this question, had farrell been the offender when Joel T was kicked in the head and Peacock charged the kick down when that resulted in a sinbin, would Peacock been sinbinned and Farrell not? I dont think so.Leeds got out of jail. Maguire was excellent when interviewed, glad he didnt say he would rather lose by 20. I thought there were some good performances today but not sure about our centres, Gleeson missed two tackles last week that resulted in trys also and Carmont should have taken a couple of those passses today. Getting fed up with errors and penalties from Prescott.

Let's hope it spurs them onto to topping the table and getting us to the Grand Final.

I don't think you can ''use this loss correctly''. I don't see how you can use it. You played the conditions as well as you could, were just as good if not better than leeds but lost. What's madge gonna say? ''don't conceed trys in the last minute''?
The best thing your coach could do this week is give your players a rest, do some team building exercises to lift the modd and go into next week fresh.

I don't think losses like that have a positive effect.
In recent years, look at when warrington have had last gasp losses to saints and look at how their form is dipped.
I'm not suggesting wigan's form will dip, i just don't think anything can be taken from this loss and it certainly shouldn't be used as motivation because it's not a good thing for the players to reminded of a heartbraking loss. This game needs to be consigned to the trash can of history as quickly as possible for wigan.

| I said at half time that if we keep our discipline we win the game - but I didn't think we would.
The galling thing is, it was some of the players who should know better like Coley, Locky and Bailey who were the worst culprits - not for the first time either.

Another cliche/soudbite people say after a defeat. This is just wrong (IMO).
There are games and losses where you can learn something from. How can wigan possibly learn a anything from a game in which they couldn't have done much better except for not conceed a try in the dying minutes?

| IF only Gleeson could have got a stronger tackle in on Smith before he broke..
But o well, on we move to Cas next Sunday, lets hope we can get back to form straight away and not dwell on this result too much.

Wigan's defence is f*cking solid, really f*cking solid. I'll give you that, yeah your attack may be better but i think your defence sets the platform for that. Improved loads this season.

There's two ways of going after a defeat like that, a team can either kick on and really knuckle down and concentrate on the league and continue playing well, or it can upset a teams rhythm and they can suffer a loss of form. It's now up to Madge to make sure we don't dwell on this loss and to make sure it doesnt up set are plans to be table toppers.

Wire's losses to Saints hit's them hard because it's such a burden on them, to compare today's loss to you, against wire continually losing to Saints doesn't add up.
