Neil Holland played today for Blackpool against Whitehaven and had a massive game. So much for everyone knowing the dual registration rules. Cracking old fashioned challenge cup tie much more exiting then Sheffield yesterday great come back by Blackpool Panthers. Leeds Rhinos away in the next round.

I also told him to stop stepping off the left foot when you have an overlap to which he just laughed.

If it was any other team he probably would have scored as Calvert can shift more than the majority of wingers in Rugby League. |

Calvert didn't really make the tackle...he just distracted Holland enough for someone else to make the tackle from behind...Holland lifted Calvert off his feet with a hand-off as he tried to tackle him.
Holland was very impressive yesterday and seems to have a long stride which helped him get half the length of the field for the break away.

It's great news that both Holland and Davies are impressing at their new clubs, as we all know it can be difficult sometimes for young forwards to impress when going up against more psychically mature opposition, but these two lads really seem to be holding there own.

have you see the whitehaven squad holland came up against, and stood up against? they are a big physical bunch of blokes and it was a real test for him. he'll benefit a lot from that game and the run out against leeds in a few weeks too. he is really impressing me the times i've seen him at the panthers and look forward to him developing into a wigan first teamer in time to come |
