Phelps didnt look great imo.
He was limping while he was on and he was moved out to the wing early on probably because he was injured

However, a number of electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

| Indeed he did.
But even though he was carrying an obvious injury when he moved out wide, he still had enough in his legs to get over for the try.
I still say that Phelps is the #1 #1 at the club, and we are FAR more dangerous with both him AND Famos at FB and wing respectively than with Famos at FB.

| He was immense, as rightly put he was worth the admission fee alone. He has to be the most dangerous player in SL in open play at the moment.

| After yesterday I think I'll change the Sam Lord of the Dance song to
Famous Amous wherever you may be
Scoring tries so easily
With a step to the left and a jink to the right
Beating everyone in sight.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

I don't agree with that.
Mark Calderwood fitted that song far better than Amos......
He goes to the left,
He goes to the riiiiiiiiiight,
He can't run forwards, 'cos Calderwood's shïte.
Left and right were the only 2 directions that Calderwood COULD run most of the time (and even that's when he could be bothered to break out of a walk/slow jog)

Not a bad shout that to be honest. The only other I can think of who can challenge them when fit is Scott Donald. The tries he's creating and scoring are amazing.

I disagree. I think we are a more dangerous team with Roberts at fullback than Cameron Phelps and that's not taking a swipe at Phelps because he has done well for us so far this season, but in open play Amos Roberts is outstanding. He is a player you want to see with his hands on the ball and so fullback makes a lot of sense. He has played in the halves before in Australia so he has the distribution skills to setup and create tries as his three try assists show. He has six to his name this season and all have come when he has been playing at fullback. Phelps is good, but he couldn't score some of the tries that Amos Roberts can and has been scoring. I know who I would be more afraid of if I was defending against Wigan.
His stats against Castleford were immense.
Tries - 3
Assists - 3
Metres - 202
Carries - 18
tackles - 3
Busts - 8
Breaks - 4
Phelps needs to get fully fit IMO because at the moment he is clearly struggling.
