But brought the game into disrepute in the 1966 final.
Personally I'd go for Shaun Edwards as I doubt his eleven Wembley finals will ever be matched.
Another two worth consideration, Eric Ashton, first player to captain a side to two successive final victories, coach a Wembey winning team and be a director (chairman?) of a Wembley winning team.
Jim Sullivan, World record goal kicker and first man to captain a winning Rugby League Challenge Cup team at Wembley. |
