We were sat about halfway up the Stretford End, so hadn't actually seen just how empty the top tier was at that end until seeing the Super League Show - poor effort considering a lot of those areas would have been on sale at Saints, and especially when seeing how full it was in the top tier of the Leeds end.

Leeds end was packed we couldn't get a ticket there at all except upper corner. Like I said the support was shocking, burton albian took more to OT, but why should anyone complain about it if they were not there?

I got loads of stick from saints fans sat in the middle of them all, it was great then watching them do the saints stroll aat the end with me singing, we can see you sneaking out icon_lol.gif they were not happy.

Quote: MattyB "Was there much fighting like last season?'"

I didn't see much fighting but one pathetic drunk Saints fan who was probably 60 odd and should of known better.

When Sinfield scored penalty to make it 11-10, he popped his purple banging stick that he had and threw it at the womans head in front of him. Then when Smith scored Leeds last try and he got up walked down the stairs and tried to grab one of those inflatable rhinos off a woman, and tried to pop it. All I heard was her scream and he husband get up as if he was about to knock him out. icon_lol.gif

Pathetic I expect better from a man of his age.

Those purple things were a nightmare, not least because of the lightbulbs inside; literally tens of them were chucked from the upper tier during the second half, would have been very nasty if they were any direct hits.

Quote: Odemwingie "They were awesome the leeds fans, OT has never seen noise like it! '"

You think that was all Leeds fans? Hardly. I saw flags and shirts from all sorts of clubs, all singing for Leeds.

Quote: Odemwingie "Saints support was shocking but the seats should be filled up by other rugby league supporters.'"

Oh so shocking. Why? We've lost three on the bounce now and this loss was expected, based on our poor performances over the last few months. Would your fans turn up for that? I doubt it.

I went myself but I know a good few people who didn't and spoke to a few more who had had to be persuaded. There is nothing like the prospect of humiliation to keep fans at bay. It takes a special kind of optimist to go back for a third dose. I happen to be one such optimist, in that I went because I thought that on the remote chance that we do win, I want to be there to experience it. But I wouldn't criticise any of our fans who opted to avoid the humiliation.

Don't try to defend the indefendable! Saints support was shocking! It was a final! Admit your fans did not turn up as well as they should of done and get on with your life... you have to make excuses for why your team lost and then have to go an extra step and make excuses about why the support was shocking.

Talk about saints fans pointing the finger, its been in the direction of the RFL for the last 2 years saying the team finishing top should win the league, you know it's funny that the year they don't finish top that I have not heard one saints fan say that.

I'm not defending anything. I said I'm not going to criticise our fans for not going just to experience humiliation. And I'm not going to criticise them.

Maybe you're lot will turn up to KR next time we meet? It's only down the road but during the 2009 season your support was shocking. And that was just a derby match. Heaven knows what would happen to the Pie support if you lost three grand finals on the bounce.

But to find that out you'd have to actually get to a grand final, which you haven't done in a while now, have you?

PS: I think the team that finishes top should be called Champions.
