That was that game wasn't it?
A stunning preformence in the blue version of that awful Warrior kit.'"
Spot on, mate.
Simon Haughton.....crackin' player on his day between 97-99.
And yes, the kit was rank!

| Boxing day 1986 which was, I think, the first time Wigan wore the Canterbury Style away kit (Pemps - must speak to you about that, actually... )
Basically, both sides were wearing all white with Vs, and late on in the game with all the players caked in mud, you could hardly tell which players were playing for which team, never mind who was who.
Henderson Gill jumped about 6 foot in the air to dive over for his try, then stood like a statue afterwards, eventually and very slowly, pointing his finger in the air, for his celebration. What a man he is. David Stephenson scored a pearler in the first half as well.

Wasn't 1986!
It was the 88/89 season IIRC

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

| Quote: Conroy "The 2003 season games are the best for me. Winning at home with a team of kids and then coming back from 20-0 down after as many minutes to score 38 unanswered points away.
Luke Robinson's little swagger as he got up after scoring his hat-trick try was superb. Really peed the stains fans off.'"
That one takes some beating. How to silence a crowd of Stains in 15 minutes
All the lads were in Walkabout after the game, I think Kev Brown must have only been about 16

| Think it was 84 challenge cup, it absolutely peed down all the match and about 10 mins to go it was still touch and go then Mark Cannon scored in the mud to secure a great win. Seem to remember the crowd was about 20,000 and half of them, I`m sure where in the Stains club at the final whistle. Had a programme but it was just a soggy mess when I got home, soaked through but happy!

| A Golden Oldie!
Championship Play Off 1959/1960 season.
Wigan stand off Dave Bolton was injured and Wigan announced that they would play Mick Sullivan at 6 in his place.
All Saints fans complained it was a tactic to get Alex Murphy sent off and Wigan get a win. Sullivan was then as good an "enforcer" as you'll ever get never mind his being a wingman. A 1950s/60s Dean Bell!
Game hadn't been going long and the biggest fist fight between two players you'll ever see took place. Between, of course, Murphy and Sullivan. Referee Eric Clay sent both off!
Result St Helens 9 Wigan 19.
Never to be forgotten!!!!!!!

| Many memories but the couple of games in 2003 have a special place.
The incredible comeback of course but I also enjoyed completely dominating them in late 03 when Craig Smith had a stormer in front of an army of Wiganers.

| My greatest memory was the bank holiday weekend when Billy Whizz went the length of the pitch in the first 5 mins then after that we smashed them all afternoon, at half time the stains fans were leaving KR and goin home , quality day

I remember it being a warm evening and it was packed behind the sticks. Saints ouldn't do anything right and Wigan took every advantage.
I also remember 26th May 1997. It was my Dad's birthday and we'd gone down to Devon for the week. I was sat in the car listening to it on the radio while mum and dad were having a meal and I kept running back and forth with score updates. 0-6, 0-12, 0-18 when it got to that stage my dad joined me in the car.
When we got back home a Saints fan gave us a copy they had taped. Written on the front was "warning, this tape will self destruct in 80 minutes".
Used to watch the match every couple of months or so (I loved it that much) until one day I left it in the video. The next time I came to watch it I found to my horror that my mum had taped Casualty over it. Infact, I'd love to watch it again right now.
12-65 what a result.

| - 65-12
- 1999 when Gary Connolly finally wrapped things up with a late winner. Never heard singing as loud. Stands out in my mind for some reason
- The best has to be 2003, Lukes hatrick. Unbelieveable scenes

1992 - along with the 87 Wigan Vs Manley match it's propbably one of the best games ever- 5-4 final scoreline with no tries scored and over 20,000 packed into KR. Awesome.

| Personally Boxing Day 92 - champagne rugby league from the best Saints side £ for £ I have ever watched.
Also the Boxing Day Clash in 1994 where Saints were booed off at half time trailing heavily only to make a great comeback to take the lead only for Wigan to snatch it right at the end.
