The only problem with this is as has been pointed out is that he has been here just over three years now and the inconsistency has not been addressed. That is plenty of time to see an improvement and we have not. So few people have any confidence given yet more time he would rectify matters.
He is one of the longest serving coaches in SL and coaches who have been at clubs less time than he has at Wigan, most notably Brown at Huddersfield, can point to how they have improved the side. Noble can't.
The irony is the best we played under Noble was in 2006 when apart from the additions of Dobson and Fielden it was a team he inherited. The more it has become "his" team the worse it's got!
As to him being sacked now well if he is not going to be coach next season then surely we don't want him recruiting players? Ideally we'd want our new coach dong that but if IL has not got one lined up I can't see the logic in letting a soon-to-be-ex-coach choose players which leaves us with IL doing the job which is back to Mo doing it.
Unfortunately I still think IL will simply not renew his contract rather than sack him because IL has, IMO, always got one eye on the PR.
So since we have the tag of sacking coaches despite the fact not all of them who left [iwere [/isacked, I think IL will not want to be labelled as doing the same as his predecessors when anyone can see he would be more than justified to remove Noble now. If I am right then he must balance the consequences for the short to medium term against the benefit of not being labelled as his predecessors long term.
