Paul Bishop and Alan Hunte were the first I hated. More recently Long and Martyn, also Cunningham but only because he's to good.

i must admit my favorite ever St Helens try celebration was in last years grandfinal by a (recently voted) man of steel after scoring the first try of the game
arms held out by his side, smug grin on his pomus ginger head, a knowing look across his brow to say to the leeds fans assembled
"yes i am Man of steel, the greatest there has ever been, now bask in my utter brilliance"
only thing wrong with that is that the leesd pack then owned him for the rest of the game and won the match!!

alex murphy ........for the stunt he pulled at wembley when our hooker (colin clarke ?) was suspended, and we had to play stephens? at hooker.
was in the days of contested scrums, and the days when offside was a scrum down.
every time wigan got the ball murphy stepped offside. head and feed to wigan, and saints win another scrum against the head.
happened all match, saints won, and stephens was so peed off i believe he went into the saints changers, knocked 7 bells out of murphy and chucked him in the pool.
cheating git........he did another stunt later playing for leigh, when he got sid hines sent off at wembley.
he was so brilliant at the game he could have been a legend, but he chose a route which made fans hate him.

I had heard about this. Didnt this incident change the rulings? |

yeh just think if it hadn't been for a player with tactical genius and an eye for taking advantage we would still be giving a scrum for off side. |
