| Here it is
Nope - It was the handling of The Faz situation that put us over the cap. Read my post again.

| Faz was also at an academy match last season, I was talking to him.
Find this news quite interesting, I was told only yesterday morning that he is coming back to offer a coaching partnership with denis betts. The rumour mill in my head is in overdrive now,
Is this gonna be a reality or just something to fill the gap in gossip of Gleeson now its been made official

| Quote: Donna "We broke the salary cap that year becuase we continued to pay Faz until he officially wen to Saracens (May I believe), and he didn't play 1 game for us due to his injury.'"
Farrell's 6 year contract (which was £1m over 6 years or £166K a season) was agreed long before we broke the salary cap that year. So the club knew well before that season what his wages were going to be so should have factored them into the equation before agreeing contracts with other players. Clearly it's the wages of other players signed [iafter[/i Farrell agreed his contract that took us over the cap.
To suggest we broke the salary cap that year because we paid a contracted player his wages on a contract agreed a few years beforehand is ridiculous. It was the clubs fault not his.

44841.jpg There is a place in wigan, right next to Robin Park, where legends such as Farrell, and Radlinski made their mark. the boardroom's full of trophy's, its time we won some more, All the other teams know what we mean when they hear the Wigan roar.....:44841.jpg |

| Pure and simple, Andy farrell is the best captain I have ever seen in rugby league or any other sport. I rate him even higher than Hanley as a captain. Roy Keane was passionate at Man U but but didn't have the influence of Faz. I true legend and I'd love him to bring his pride back to Wigan.

Yes and he left in 2005 (seems much longer ago ). If the club hadn't worked out how much it was paying him by then they were worse than we all thought re the salary cap.

| A great club man and servant to Wigan RL.
The way he carried Wigan for several years can only be measured by the fact that when he left, Wigan deteriorated rapidly and to this day they still lack direction and inspiration on the pitch.

| I won't say he carried the team in 2004, but nearly all his performances when he switched to prop were absolutely awesome - hard running, hard working & just relentless for the team as was shown by the broken nose incident!

| Should go down as one of the wigan greats.
Top player, immense, if not unequalled, contribution to wigan over his career.
Hope to see him back at wigan at some point - along with his son !!
