If he can spot that he should also spot that Tommy is miles better at 9 so a general SH is also needed
It's not upto IL though is it? Coley granted is poor but IMO Fielden is sometimes unfairly criticised. Agreed he isn't his former self but he's solid both in attack and defence IMO, doesn't do it spectacularly and doesn't get credit for it. People only seem to pick up on his weak points and use Fielden as a scapegoat as to why our pack isn't upto it.
Controversial but IMO Feka is the problem. He makes one maybe two good runs and makes some yards, but what else? Naff all in defence and 10minutes a time on the pitch. And some people think thats good enough? Skerret, Wane, O'Connor etc etc would p*ss all over him! Get him fit or get rid.
Lynch and/or Kylie Leulaui would beef our pack alot and would both be terrific signings if either or both (as rumoured) comes off.

And yet not Sean Long...
They made an example of him and it was either him or Sean Long and when Wire came in with the cash offer they accepted.
Wire have got rid of him because he doesn't have the desire to play for the club anymore apparently and also they are in need of some cash to pay the taxes they owe.

I can't go into details, but it wasn't because of the betting. I'll leave it at that.
Gleeson is a quality player, but you're a fool if you think he doesn't have a big social life.

Well until I see hard evidence to back it up then I will just treat it as a rumour and nothing more.
At the end of the day he has always produced for Warrington. Whether that be Fa'afilli , Hicks or Riley and if he can replicate that on the field for Wigan then I am not bothered.

Fielden and Coley offer no go forward between them. This is a big problem for us because all our go forward is from Feka and Hock, no-one else makes the opposition concerned when they are driving it up. For what Fielden is on his performances simply aren't good enough and most weeks he is our 3rd or 4th best prop when he should be our best every week!
The only problem I have with Feka is his defence sometimes as it can be a little slack but everytime he takes it up he makes great yards and is IMO the most dangerous ball carrier in super league, for you to say Feka only plays 10 minutes and want Kylie Leuluai is a little bizarre to be honest because Kylie plays less minutes than Feka. Feka has significantly improved his game time and has been playing around 40 minutes a game for us this season which for an impact prop is fantastic. I don't think Feka would get half the criticism he does if the rest of the pack were up to it because we wouldn't need him to play so long. How many impact props play more than 40 minutes?

A lot of the time rugby league fans and the media love to overhype players when they seem them at pubs/clubs etc. Most of the time the players are out for a social drink and nothing more but yet it can be well over exaggerated which is just something players have to accept. Whether this applies to Gleeson I don't know but I think he is a very easy target.
But at the end of the day as long as the guy produces the goods on the field I am not bothered. Andy Gregory loved a drink in his Wigan days and yet was still a champion player. IMO the same applies to Martin Gleeson.

Feka doesn't get any criticism - he's untouchable to most fans. I'm sorry but IMO he is useless in defence and only useful in attack after a 5min rest - even if it is on the pitch. I can't deny some of his bursts leave me in awe but IMO two/three runs like that a game are not good enough when he does barely anything to back it up.
Signing another prop such as Lynch/K.LuLu would considerably help Feka and Fielden in the pack.

If - as you say - he has "always produced for Warrington": why get rid?

Because he didn't want to play for them. I thought that was clear.

Didn't want to play for them anymore apparently. He had the desire to move to the NRL and had it in his contract that he could do so. Warrington would have lost him at the end of the season for nothing anyway and when Wigan came in with an offer they accepted.
Although he wanted to play elsewhere he still produced the goods for Warrington. In his last game he setup a beautiful try for one of the young lads at Warrington (can't remember his name) from a fantastic offload and even out of position was playing well for Warrington.
So even though his mind was elsewhere if you believe the pop at Gleeson on the Warrington website he could still create chances for them and was still one of their pivitol players with four try assists already this season which is the most for any of the Warrington players.
