It's hard to compare Clarke and Micky Mac as they are completely different types of hookers. Same goes with trying to compare Roby and Micky Mac, it's not really possible as different style hookers.

Micky Mac is more of a passer of the ball from acting half, works hard, aggressive and is a enforcer which obviously fits in at Wigan.

Roby and Clarke are more the running type hookers so stat wise they will be massively up on Micky Mac but that's not to day they are playing any better as stats are mis-leading.

IMO if all the three play to their best ability then Roby walks it, he's by far the best out the 3 and arguably one of the best hookers but has been poor this year by his standards.

Based on this seasons form from the games I've seen, I think Clarke has been the best out the 3 with not much in it between robes and Micky Mac.

I know you say stats are misleading but the work Roby gets through is superb. He has set a ridiculously high standard for himself over the years and because this year he has fallen short of that, people assume he has been poor. He hasn't, he just hasn't been as good as we've seen him in the past. The truth is his 80-90% is still better than most other's 100%.

That's why I quoted "poor by his usual standards".


I think Micky Mac fits wigans game and Roby does with saints. Micky Mac would look very average in the saints team as we rely on robes to make runs from dummy half where Micky Mac can't do that.

So to sum up, both Micky Mac and robes suit their own teams style of play.

I agree with that too. McIlorum can't create something out of nothing and break a line and Roby can't run round showing how big and hard he is.

I don't think you can use today to judge Micky Mac, he clearly wasn't fit. Clark had a good game and has always impressed me.

Clarke has 9 times more tries, 4-0 assists, 50% more tackles, twice as many marker tackles, less missed tackles, 6 times more tackle busts, twice as many carries, 3 times as many metres made, twice as many average gain, 15-2 clean breaks, than a one-dimensional poor man’s James Lowes. The fact the pies are moving the OP away is it is as obvious as the perm on O'Mistakes head.

Clarke is a young lad who's still trying to make a name for himself so obviously not had any caps yet and also plays for a team that realistically up to maybe this year had been near the bottom.
