I'm going to show some disrespectful arrogance here and inform you that tomorrow evening I shall return home from work, crack open a few tinnies and sit down to watch the Giants 'hopefully' thump your team into submission, a result which would see your team drop out of the playoff positions into ninth.
If by some miracle your team do manage to overcome the Giants, please feel free to come back as the result will have done us a favour in the league table.

The Super League round hasn't yet been completed until tomorrow evening, a loss tomorrow would mean you will have dropped out of the playoff positions do you disagree?

Seeing as we are in 9th position prior to the Huddersfield game, a defeat to them will not see us drop out of the playoff places, as you claimed it would, as we have already dropped out. I understand that even simple logic may be difficult for the likes of you to understand, but please try.

Ah...but as the game kicks off at 0-0 you will have 'automatically' found your way back into the Top 8 due to superior points difference over Hull KR. The BBC demonstrate this perfectly with their 'As it stands' league tables for the football whilst the matches are in progress.
Therefore (whilst I'm being a little pedantic) a defeat tomorrow at the end of the match WILL see your team drop out of the play-off positions!  |

No it won't. No points will be awarded to either side until the game ends. Therefore, at no point before or during the game will Saints be in 8th place, hence why a defeat could not, and will not, drop us into 9th.

You're saying that one man's personal expectations is arrogant? Wow.
I expected Wigan to win by 30 points today, I really did. Our team is 30 points better than Wakefield. This is not my opinion, but fact.
Wakefield's average match score for the year [Going off the current points for and against] is a 5.6 point loss. Wigan's average match score for each game is a 26.8 point win. Wigan therefor, on a game by game basis are 30 points better than Wakefield.
Now based on this, and the fact we have come into the game on the back of some red hot form, Tomkins having scored 20+ tries in the last 11 games, why is it arrogant to expect a comfortable victory, and for Tomkins to get a bucket full of tries? Surely he was just going off the stats for the previous 17 games for the season. |
