Not read the rest of the thread but Sean Long has been offered a two year deal to come to wigan. Wakefield have also offered him the same but for more money

Tomkins, Long, Tommy, Piggy and McIlloram. Slowest 6 7 and 9 partnership in the history of man. Only Tomkins you would expect be able go half length of the pitch.

A point most seem to be missing, those two with Tommy @ 9 whilst potentially excellent would be a risky option.



If we are actively looking for a scrumhalf then Riddell is going home or McIllorum is off out on loan next season.

I didnt say I didnt want him. I would personally prefer one of the other players.

A 2 year deal for someone with Long's injurys getting more consistent is a big gamble.

It could be the sort of "shock" move that could actually help us. Then again, we took Millward like a shot

Long has had a 2 year deal offerd from Warrington.

He is in 2 minds to either take the 1yr deal at saints or go Warrington.

I have feeling he will be a saint for another year yet.

I would despair of the club's decision makers if Wigan offered a contract to Sean Long.

Tim Smith is far and away the best 7 in the league. The bloke has more natural talent than Longy could dream of. We have only seen flashes of what he can do. Anyone seen him play at Parra before his problems will agree. I would like him to stay at least another year.

You maybe be correct but I very much doubt we will see him again, I hope not
