If I was the boss of a company and one of my employees was caught taking drugs or doing anything criminal, he/she'd be out the door like a shot. Simply for the image of the company, even more so if the company was an international company permenantly in the limelight.

He's a professioanl rugby league player and tough as nails. Who do you propose gives him this 'good slap'.

As a professional he is well aware of the implications of drug use; whether recreational or performance enhacing. Whether you agree with the lack of distinction between the two is irrelevant. The fact remains what he has done warrants a two year ban.

Neither Hock nor the club should appeal such a ban; there are no grounds for doing so.

Sad state of affairs but we didn't make this situation the green eyed envy of the all the other clubs did so i agree.

The grounds for appealling are that we will be without one of our best players. Obviously we would not use such an argument in a court-we would let the lawyers come up with some nonsense-but that is our grounds for fighting this.
