| Quote: Grimmy "Thanks, it does. I'm not a solicitor but I have studied contract law (the ticket is basically a contract between the club and the buyer). I can't understand how they can exchange a service for money, not provide that service, then refuse to offer any remedy for that. Maybe they'll offer a discount off the following year or free extra tickets for later games or something. Or they could just be saying it as a gentleman's agreement that people won't ask for refunds, rather than a legally enforceable position. You can't just opt out of the Consumer Rights Act because it's not in your interests to offer refunds, otherwise it would happen a lot more.'"
ive just spoke to some Leigh fans and they say pretty much this as they had the buy in from fans

| Maybe we look at the possibility of selling either a half season ticket or maybe even an 18 month season ticket which will act in a similar way to the auto renewal system? In terms of getting some early money in.

| Ultimately it’s going to rely on 2 things;
1/ The Gvt ‘road map’ to recovery which is due to be announced in the coming weeks
2/ COVID numbers v vaccination levels
Only when the vaccination level is above the COVID levels, by some way, will we see fans back at stadiums IMO. I don’t think it’s wise for any clubs to be releasing ST details when there’s still a huge chance fans won’t be in stadiums this season, after all there’s still a big question mark hanging over the RLWC and I’d imagine that decision will be made imminently too.
Wigan are being wise by not announcing anything to do with ST yet. It’s pointless.

i think the clubs who have already released ST details and sold them, may need the cash more than others. I agree with Wigans approach as it may save a lot of un-necessary admin if they need to issue refunds or go through the same process as last season, plus the ticket office isnt open cos of the debarcle with the Latics / stadium etc
For the clubs who have already sold ticket, if they are banking on fans paying, with the possibility of not receiving anything, then they may be onto a short term winner in cash flow senses. However, the chances are that the fans will want something back in return, whether that be investment in players on the pitch, free replica shirt or whatever it may be.
i personally didnt renew my ST last year as i had an event planned which was going to take up all my spare time, so was unlikely to attend any games. The event i was doing last year was deferred to this year, but i will be happy to buy a ST this year, despite being unlikely to attend either for Covid or personal purposes. i dont want to see the club go bust (as with many on here) so would prefer to spend the money on a ST, if it means that there is a club in future

There's a big debate going on at the moment between those affected by cancelled flights and those flights that still went ahead despite government restrictions entering countries. We lost over £250 due to this last October, flight went but we werent allowed to enter Hungary (Budapest) as borders closed. Lesson learned.

Did you book directly with Ryanair or through another company like Love Holidays or someone similar?
I had my refund from Ryanair no problem.

| 17th May - 25% capacity or 10,000 (whichever is lower I presume)
Larger crowds in June.

Wigan, FC and hudds only all seater grounds (not including catalan), so looking at 6250 or thereabouts allowed in, others will only be allowed upto 4000

Wonder if they'll consider using the bigger stadiums for some home games of other clubs to maximise income.
I still think its all very uncertain anyhow- the roadmap feels uneasily quick to me but I know others will feel differently.

can't see clubs paying to use other larger grounds, as for the roadmap, for someone who has shielded for over 6 months in total, (so far), its a small light at a very long tunnel of hope
