For example, I managed to get a Carling Cup final ticket but I was in the last sale even though I had been to Stoke away, City away, City at home, I hadn't recorded it on my membership, I had used my mates membership.'"

This isn't pansieball. This is RL.

Accept that we're a minority sports and at THIS MOMENT IN TIME we don't have big enough demand to completely up haul how we distribute tickets for no more than 3 big games a year (Good Friday, Wembley & OT - no other game needs it. Not even Wire away or even that Semi-final you all got hairy about and embarrassingly we didn't sell out)

but if this said fan had loyalties based on the number of games they'd been to, would they get a free ticket this week for Saints? If not, how would they pay for it regardless of loyalties?

blooming heck. These particular tickets have been released the week after pay day anyway...
even if not, i've spent the past 3-4 week with £20 stashed away. i knew they where due, so i kept money aside.
if i couldn't afford it and had to 'feed my kids' then i'd be doing the right thing and not going to RL over my kids...

So, your theory is that Good Friday and Finals should just be a first come first served at the TO regardless of how many games you have attended. Great.

Non ST holders can buy tickets from Stains which I dont agree with either.

For big games with reduced capacities, Leeds, Wire, Stains, Hull KR even, the away end (dont give me that crap that there isnt one) should be given solely to the away team until they cant sell any more. Im on the cpu as going to Cas and Widnes and have a stub from Bradford. Job done.

Some people cant get to the DW (pie warrior) and have to rely on the web working or phone not being busy. If he had 2 days knowing he was guaranteed one then he wouldnt need to panic.

You might even find attendances rise if people knew they had to attend the little games so to speak or they risk missing the big ones.

To add to my point slightly, I get that for most games it doesnt matter but for the odd one or two that it does, loyalty should imo be rewarded.

Hang on, what exactly would you do about the Good Friday sales then? You dont think there should be loyalty rewarded for that game with only 3k tickets allocated to us?? You also think that a Cup final, we should have General sale from day one? That means any tom dick and harry can get better seats than people that haven't missed all year? What would you do if say, we got 2.5k for Warrington away????? General sale??

As for the "pansiball" comment, dont you go watching Bolton? Bit hypocrital that if you ask me.

In a way the same could be said th contradict your argument, what if something blew in the house which means you can't get to a game which means you don't qualify for a loyalty ticket in the future?

It's an idea that's never going to work in rugby league in my opinion, firstly because we don't have enough high demand games for it to even be worth it, secondly because the big guys at the top who would have to pay for it don't really care whether it's a loyal fan of 60 years or a first time goer as long as they are getting bums on seats, and lastly because it would cause more negativity than good with people complaining about it - just take a look at this thread as an example. It's always going to upset a few people / be unfair to a few people.

For what it's worth I have been a season ticket holder for as long as I can remember and go to the majority of games barring Catalan away because it's not financially viabLe to me every year so a loyalty scheme would benefit me massively, but it's never going to work.

I'd also consider putting people who don't have Season Tickets but attend away games higher on the list than 'normal' ST holders as well.

Take the playoffs for example. 6000 people turned up for the Catalans game. 6000. For possibly the last game for the coach who brought us two trophies in two years. That was 10000 less than our average. In that 6000 would have been people who had paid on the gate to every game home and away (I know a few), yet they'd have been behind people who couldn't be d as they thought we'd lose for tickets to the semi final. Fair?

I personally would go for the Wire game for example (our 12th away game):

ST holders/Membership holders with 10 away games
ST holders/Membership holders with 5 away games/People with 8 or more
ST holders/Membership holders with any away game/People with 5 or more
ST holders/Membership holders
General sale

2 days each for the categories and then away you go. That way, a home and away fan is in the best place to get a ticket whether they pay on the door or not (you get stubs at most grounds these days) You even get the chance to miss Catalans and London.

I have my fair share of outgoings thankyou very much. Enough to know what it's like at the end of the month to really struggle.

Unless you know my personal life i'd suggest you pipe down comparing personal and individual cases.
