What a dreadful thing!
Taste is the enemy of creativeness.

| Pryce is really frustrating.
I was impressed iwth the way he started, but shocked by his lack of fitness.
I wonder whether he might improve, if he was given more to do. Pwersonally I think giving him a spell in the back 3 MIGHT help him, as I feel if he was involved more, it might help him.
I may of course be clutching at straws, but I think if hes out of the game too long, his mind drifts - hence the 2 dropped balls inthe last 20. If he was spelled, and given the ball in every set of 6 when he was on the field. That could be the way forward.

Why for posting valid points? It is fans like you that give Wigan fans a bad name. You rate him but many others more, and seemingly even a majority of Wigan fans, dont. You are probably one of those that slag off the home grown youngsters in favour of highly paid signings that are quite frankly rubbish. Grow up.

Here are "the facts"
Karl Pryce has scored 19 tries this season
15 tries from 10 appearances in the reserves
4 tries from 6 appearances in the first team.
Not a bad strike rate, would you agree?

I cant believe you are counting reserve tries and appearences, pathetic
In that Wigan reserve team, against the standard of teams that you play against, any half decent player who is playing at centre should score that amount. You are talking about a player that has made god knows how many Super League appearances and is built like the proverbial brick outhouse playing against mainly teenagers. Often these teenagers arent even any good and many are just making up the numbers and as such the standard in reserve grade is shocking. You really are clutching at straws there mate

He is still a 6 ft 10 player who runs it in like a 15 year old. At least Leon has a bit of fight in him
I lined it up like Hock so let me hear your reply.

Was thinking of starting a "Scapegoat of the week" Thread!!!!!!!
You don't have to be a genius to work out that since they can't blame Mathers, Roberts is proving that he is the better winger ATM over Ainscough, Piggy's doing quite well, Bailey's doing nothing different than he has always done but now is being appreciated for the player he always was and they've finally given up on Crucifying O'Loughlin then "Who Else" are they going to have a pop at!!!!
Just a shame BN wasn't interviewed and said "Wigan" instead of "We" and then he could have been crucified instead of Pryce!
Did well last night Pryce and for the love of God I can't understand why Some fans (I nearly used the term Idiot fans as that is how frustrated I am with the loud mouthed Idiot's 3 rows behind me who over the last 12 weeks have crucifed Mathers, then Riddell and now Pryce in a foul mouthed abusive way) want certain players to fail?????
It's like they shoot there big mouths off and blame 1 player for a defeat etc and then won't leave him alone until the club kicks him out or the fans turn on him just to prove that they were right!!!!!!!!!
They have a bigger interest in their own Internet or Gameday Ego than actually trying to be constructive about things!!!!!
The Kn0b at the back of me (3-4 weeks ago he spent 80 ins calling Riddell every name under the son and when I pulled him up for swearing in front of kids he swore again when saying he wasn't swearing!!!!!!!!!) started on Pryce 30 seconds into the game last night!!!!
Ridiculous!!!!!!

OK then 4 tries from 6 in first team.
How many other players have that strike rate?
Oh and he's still only 22 years of age.

Exactly, he is a great player, perhaps needs some confidence, but that is a great strike rate.

| I thought Pryce went fairly well.
As with a lot of the squad, he is suffering from the lack of an adequate fitness coach, and as a result looked tired from early on in the second half.
That said, if (and hopefully when) we get a new coach and conditioner, if he works hard over the off season I think he'll come good.
Certainly he showed glimpses of talent, and as for going down too easily, I don't know what you expect him to do from often a standing start? As soon as he had a couple of metres in front of him, he managed to draw a good few men in (certainly in the second half).
As far as I'm concerned, most players on the books deserve a fresh start under a new coach to prove themselves, and Pryce is certainly included in that group of players.
