How much of help is this 20+ thousand crowd going to be to us becoming the best supported team in SL. Is it possible we could over take Leeds this year, anyone know?

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league

Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate

the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever

The salford attendance took us below them in the table but this week should see us move back above them.

Poor attendances at the start of the year let us down but we should easily be the best supported next season with all the optimism this season and new signings will bring.
Hudds should be a good crowd at home for us as we could be named league leaders that game.
The bradford game could also be a big crowd IF we lift the league leaders shield.
23k this week will push us up to around 15,500 I think. |

The salford attendance took us below them in the table but this week should see us move back above them.

We should beat Leeds with this expected 23-24K crowd. Their only last big game is against us, they certainly can't hit anywhere near that, their other two home games are Hudds & Catalans.
Our other two are Hudds and Bradford, so I'd expect to have the higher average this season.
We really do need to build on this though, maybe push season tickets a little more (tv advert maybe)?

Its stated you have sold c3500 (out of 4,800ish)
We're showing at c1000 left, so about right I'd say. |

We have had some shocking away supports this year another reason why the avg att is not as high as the club would like, like saints,cas,salford,leeds and wakey.

I wouldn't call it shocking, but it would be great if we got better away support from certain teams. |

I would call the cas support shocking as it was a sunday afternoon and they brought 200 max but we are the best away prices/stadium/facilities so dont know why more away fans come maybe playing friday night doesnt help. |

I would be happy if every team brought around 1k other than Leeds, Saints, Wire, Catalans, Crusaders and Quins. |
