Considering about half of it is Smokey trying to justify McClennan/Peacock looking like spoilt brats who have missed nap time and you chiming in with intellectual gems like the above; I think that you're probably the only one that thinks Peacock has done a good job. All he has done is try and cause more tension between the two clubs and their fans, which could quite easily result in the spoiling of what should be a classic game or worst still, trouble in the crowd.
But hey, if that's what you want for Rugby League then crack on. Hopefully you'll get bored once Leeds stop winning the trophy and go back to soccer.
The Wigan Club have refused to get into petty name calling; which in turn has meant that there has been nothing for you to respond with (note Smokey slowing drowning over the last few pages) other than the aforementioned "hilarious" analogies.

More a sign of Maguire not lowering himself to the level Leeds have stooped to.
I can imagine Gary Hetherington ushering the squad into the press room, "go on lads, tell 'em how nasty Piggy is and how you're gonna bang some heads on Saturday...even you Ryan, you can stand behind Jamie if you like."
Strangely Buderus, Sinfield, Ablett, Donald and Burrow have all given interveiws and not one mentions Riddell's cowardice.
The only person to mention it was JP (and McClennan but only immediately after the match) Nobody else has even really mentioned Wigan.
Yet Wigan fans have rubbed themselves into a lather over comments from Sinfield and McClennan which dont mention them, and the Wigan coaching staff have pulled the players from their general media duties lest they cant do what Buderus, Sinfield, Ablett, Donald and Burrow have all easily managed. This is somehow rising above the leeds comments, which to be honest, bar one comment from one person, are all fairly bland

and still they CHOMP!
This side of the pennines, we believe that if you've got something to say, then say it.
Jamie was 100 percent right in his views. As a professional rugby league player, I would suggest he is better suited to judge a fellow professional's actions, than a rather emotional poster like yourself. It's a moot point as to whether he should have expressed them so forthrightly, but on balance, I'll take plain speaking over Political Correctness everytime.
As for crowd trouble, after what we have seen written this last week, I could easily shrug my shoulders in an ironic Phil Clarke manner, and opine that if thats what the God's of Rugby want, who am I, as a mere mortal to argue with that? If you're looking for trouble, you will find it easily. Most supporters will hopefully enjoy a cracking game of RL.
It is perhaps fortunate that Leeds will be stuffed full of police for the Leeds/Sheffield match, and when that match is finished can easily be shipped up to Headingley. Unfortunately, the chav element can also make an appearance for the second half, and if a couple of coaches get their windows bricked, then we will be another sad step down the road in RL.
I don't think there will be anything out of the ordinary on the pitch. It's a semi final, it's bound to be a wee bit tasty as there's a lot a stake, but you can forget it turning into WW3.
Kindly leave your clogs at home as well.

And almost exploded with outrage at Piggy also doing just that to McGuire last week...
He had something to say, so he said it.

Let me help you here Fuzz. We didn't like what he said, and we expressed that feeling.
Simples. OK?

This bit is classic. So it's OK for Peacock to speak his mind as a "professional rugby league player" and he is in a better position blah, blah, blah? Well I would suggest that this is only because you happen to agree with his sentiments. Was Phil Clarke not a "professional rugby league player"; I would imagine that Phil Clarke spends more time analysing RL games than your beloved Jamie does - as he doesn't have to spend the same amount of time training to play. He's also been involved with the game for longer. Yet you cried long and hard at how his comments were a disgrace.
So on one hand we have Peacock "telling it like it is" and you think he should because you "prefer plain speaking to PC comments". Yet when someone forthrightly express the opinions in a plain speaking manner that isn't PC; but you don't agree with them; that's wrong.
Congratulations - you've just given a perfect example of hypocrisy! Well done.
I bet he is bricking it You really are a pratt.

Actions speak louder than words where we come from. No point spouting your trout off and then not backing it up. Peacock will be in the stands with his pom poms on saturday where as all our lads will be showing Egg head, Dumbo and all you sheep fiddlers why they have been keeping quiet.
