Quote: WARRIORCRAIG "There was only really Burgess, Bateman and Lockers out of our first choice 13 (with McIlorum injured), there was still enough in that squad to beat Wakefield. It was nothing like the wholesale changes he made against Widnes in 2012 and it was a completely understandable line up given it was our 3rd game in 9 days. Errors and soft defence cost us the game today, not the team selection.

On a side note, I'd seriously consider recalling Logan from Salford if it's possible. Williams has been making lots of errors and some of his distribution has been poor. I'd rather have Logan starting with Williams providing a running option off the bench.'"

Couldn't agree more re Logan. With both MM and Green out we need him back.

I'm with you and JJ over Logan too.. A much stronger option...

We were out enthused in all departments and made some very basic errors that for me was the frustration today.

Even when we took the lead by 2 scores we didn't deserve to be up.

Came up with some poor plays and if we have to rely on Williams at hooker for 8 weeks we are really going to struggle.

I saw Dudson warm up but can't remember any cintribution of his to the game. James was woeful, and Faz got shown up today by Kirmond who dominated him. He did look very tired though.

Gelling went well again and Murphy looked ok Flower and Taylor put in reasonable shifts, rest looked poor and not interested when it got tough which was very disappointing.

No doubt Wane will give the players a roasting if Wigan was out enthused as I know that's not acceptable for Wane. That makes me more worried about next week than I am now.

Fair enough, probably the reason I didn't see a positive contribution. Noticed him warming up with the team and assumed he was in the 17.

You would have been more embarrassed if the ref had been more consistent with his interpretation of the obstruction rule, not to mention if he had sent off Gelling and Farrell for their deliberate thugery, but you would not have known that not being at the match.

Yep the ref was embarrassing, tried his hardest to win you the game but even with his considerable assistance you came up short. You were obstructing all game and the kid who threw two "punches" - yes they were indeed very very embarrassing - my nan could throw a better shot. take your medicine fellas - you lost to the better team on the day.

Quote: DaveO "

I am sure he rested players ready for Saints but if he did this will only prove to be the right choice if we win.'"

If only that were the case. The big worry is that we are running on empty and that this was the best squad available. If we had anyone else able to play we could probably have pushed on and won when we were 6-18 up.
On the up side Murphy went well and didn't look out of place.

Why do fans of the small West Yorkshire teams always insist that the refs are against them, even when they've won. Embarrassing.
