I remember the flag me and my Grandad made before I went down to Wembley when we played Sheffield Eagles, 9 years old and my Grandad convinced me to spell Kris Radlinski as "Chris Radlinsky". "Got a better chance of getting on tele lad." he reckoned. So there I was flag in hand watching the Wigan team bus drive into Wembley, and who looks at my flag? Radders.
Y'know I always wondered what he was thinking when he read it, he looked mightily confused.

Thank you to those who signed the book for Mike Maguire tonight. The idea is to give him some momento of his time here and thank him for everything he has achieved. Who would have dreamt when he took over that we would top the table and win the GF in 2010 and then not only be close to repeating it in 2011 but also return to Wembley and be served up the quality rugby we have been.
We are asking for £1 to write a message of thanks or good luck with all monies going to Macmillan and/or Wigan & Leigh Hospice.
There will be opportunities to sign the book up until the 2nd home playoff game when the book will be presented to Madge with another little gift (hopefully in the SS bar).

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
