| Interesting to see Peet commenting that yet again we didn't receive one 6 again in the match. Hard to believe that Saints didn't lie on just a little too long just once in that game.
Haven't seen the stats but I would hazard a guess that we received a pretty low pens for again.

| It's far easier complaining after big wins. We continue to lose penalty counts and opposition sides continue to have their best disciplinary displays of the season against us. The six agains are the biggest bug bear at the minute. A side getting none should be a side who doesn't cause opposition teams many problems in attack and who are easy to defend against. Teams are scrambling to slow down an attack involving Field, Marshall, French, Nsemba etc and are as clean as a whistle 'every single week'.

| We didn't get any 6 agains v Leeds (a) but at least one against HKR as Harry scored from it. None on Friday. So that's one 6 again in four hours of Rugby!
I'd like to hear Mr Bentham's view on that!

| We have Jack Smith as referee at Hull FC so no matter how good our discipline is we'll lose the pen count and probably not get any 6 agains. Third away match on the run we'd had Smith. Hull fans no doubt be complaining that we've brought a "Wigan Ref".

| I can't wait. Even when we beat them 46-4 in round 2 they still won the penalty count

| Maybe you're losing penalty counts because you're transgressing more than the opposition? Just a thought

i think most fans would accept losing some penalty counts but every week, even when Wigan are dominant, it doesn't make sense. Why when a side is well on top and dominant would they concede penalties NK has provided examples where for example Salford have averaged 9 penalties conceded every week, but against Wigan only conceded 3. Wigan were dominant in that game, so you would expect Salford to concede more, and certainly more than Wigan Similar with the league game v FC earlier in the season, Wigan dominated that game but were on the end of the penalty count i know i would prefer winning games v penalty counts, but there is no doubt that it can have an influence on the result of a game, especially if every week penalty / set restarts are stacked up against a team. I think in the game v Leeds which we lost it was a stacked penalty count and 3 set restarts (note i'm not saying that is the reason we lost but could have been a contributing factor)

Wigan are still the least penalised club in SL.We lose the pen count each week as the referee penalises our opposition less when they play Wigan than when they play other teams. The penalty data shows this. eg Both Leigh and Hudds played at the Brick and neither club conceded a single penalty. Just look at both their penalty counts against other oppositions. That referees treat Wigan's opposition team differently than they usually do against other SL teams seems to be a claim backed up by the data.

We've had that line already. Maybe you can be the first person to say it who will give a view on why we get so few penalties? We got 3 at your place, when we were totally dominant, we got zero against Huddersfield, when we were dominant, we got 3 against a Salford reserve side, who had given away 9 a game and 12 on opening night and so on and on. We've had 3 fixtures this season were we got either 1 penalty or zero. That Is utter madness. This isn't about losing penalty counts in reality or what we give away, it's about what we get and I've yet to see an opposition fan come back with a view on that, other than to say 'tough'. BTW-You've had 49 penalties in 8 games, compared to our 18. You've had 16 penalties in your last 2 games. HKR gave away 10 against you last week, in a game they won reasonably comfortably. They gave away 3 in a game they lost the week before against us.
