It was never going to be a massive crowd - Cas are not a crowd-pulling team, tickets have to be paid for and it was 7pm on a Sunday night, which although fine for me is useless for anyone with a family and/or living outside Wigan. '"
I made it from Chester with my son - what a hero eh . The thing is he is 15 not 5 so getting back late wasn't a big deal. He enjoyed waving at the Cas supporters coaches we passed on the M6 as they headed for the M62 as well! We got back about ten past ten after the obligatory stop at Tesco Extra for supplies.
Cost us £20 for the tickets after discounts and the £2 booking fee (which is something else that penalises far flung fans who can't by locally).
As to paying for the play offs, I was under the impression all gate receipts from all matches were pooled into a big pot divided equally amongst the participating teams so if that is correct it would make it impossible to offer the matches included in the season ticket price. If I am wrong then I think they should be included.

| I agree with IL when he said we need to bring local talent through at the forum but i feel he needs at least one big signing not only to bolster the playing roster but to put bums on seats for next season.
He showed everyone at the forum the singings we have made year on year becoming less and less but surely those few signings need to be quality purchases.

I'm not ashamed, couldn't go due to work and I know others who couldn't go who are away on holiday who have been going all year like myself both home and away. Should they be ashamed aswell?

Unsurprisingly ( ) I agree.
I couldn't help thinking last night that the Wigan and Cas teams that contested the same fixture 10 years ago would have beaten the teams playing last night quite comfortably, but hey, thats "progress" for you....

33718_1325770967.jpg Games as big as Grand Finals define individuals and clubs. Remember, we only rent these journeys. In my time I had Pat Richard's shirt. Ellery Hanley had Sean O'Loughlin's jersey. Sam Tomkins is wearing Radders' number one jersey. Andy Coley is wearing Shaun Wayne's jersey. You have to make a mark in these shirts before you hand it down to someone else. Hand it back. So be aware for 80 minutes that you are not only playing, but you are also writing history and creating legacy. How many people actually write history - not many? A big stage demands big players…..INSPIRE YOUR TEAM MATES.

| Quote: DaveO "I don't think its IL who needs to worry its the RFL. Its not good that these games attract so few speccies. I was quite shocked to be honest to see the empty spaces at the ground.
I must admit I thought twice about going mainly because of it being a Sunday and my son has to get up for school tomorrow but we went and we go back to Chester at 22I do think we should get any home playoff games in with the price and if we did the crowds would easily be bigger. We had different people say next to us than usual so the two who have season tickets.
Dave'"
wouldnt work imo.
they would have to incorporate any possible home play off games in the overall price on assumption that we could have possibly 3 home games.
we can hardly expect 3 freebies.
and if we didnt make the top 6 people would moan about the season ticket prices.
right way to go is to reduce the prices for season ticket holders to half price.
wouldnt make a difference to pay on the day speccies.

| As a fan and season ticket holder it is my perogative to decide which games i attend. It is the clubs responsibility to market their product sufficiently well enough to ensure i attend. I didn't attend yesterday for several reasons which i dont feel i should have to expalin to anyone. With a bit of juggling yes i could have attended but on the balance of things i wasn't willing to make the neccessary sacrifices. If the club and RFL are concerned maybe they need to look into why i and many others just werent that attracted to this game.

| for the life of me i cant understand why a season ticket holder would go all season and not go too the playoff games{work commitments aside}
as for marketing the game why should the club need to market the most important fixture of the season to attract a crowd.

| Some people will have had plans etc with the game only being confirmed a week in advance, the cost will put others off and the fact its on TV others.
Ill say again, if the RFL price the play off's properly the games will be well attended.
