Quote: NickyKiss "I thought this was going to be about the RFL and the pricing structure for the final. That is what you call cashing in at fans expense! They look to have given up hope of getting crowds of 75,000 plus anymore and decided they'll make as much money out if the die Garda who go each year and the fans of the clubs involved to cover costs.'"

Tickets start at £20 for adults and £5 juniors.

You should have a look at the price of tickets to international rugby union games.

I've got a seat in the lower section behind the sticks for the cup final of the greatest game in the world for £50. Bargain! Beer is a rip off inside the ground, but it's my own choice to buy it

Indeed, I paid £90 to watch Wales v England. £50 to watch a challenge cup final is amazing in comparison.

I get that it's cheap to sit right up in the gods but I just think the bandings are wrong tbh. It jumps from £30 to £50 to sit on the bottom tier and that's more expensive then my tickets for the FA cup semi finals when Wigan Athletic got there two years on the trot and I sat in a similar area.

Ultimately this is Rugby League not Union and the demand isn't as high and generally people's incomes aren't either. I've bought my ticket for £50 in the lower tier and that's fine for me but I do think they could have made it a bit more competitive in other areas on that bottom tier. I could be wrong but it feels like theyve increased the prices considerably over the past few years. At a time the crowds are going down for the final that's a risky move!

£50 for a major final is very good value. Football fans can only dream of something that cheap, which is ironic seeing has football is awash with money.

Typically the RFL's marketing machine has hardly excelled itself with the CC final. For the first time Club Wembley seats are on general sale. They were on offer at just £40 but I only knew about this after doing a lot of digging. The offer ran out on 30 June, but at no point was it actively advertised significantly.

I am a Hull fan, but live in West Yorks. I arranged to go to the final just after the semi final draw was made with a Leeds fan friend of mine (one of us was going to be happy after the semi final). By booking before the end of June, I got Club Wembley tickets and return train travel for £85 all in.

To make the final more fan friendly, it has to be affordable. The tickets are often not the issue, but the travel costs when booking after the semi final are high. I do remember the days of specific trains being put on from Hull to Kings Cross when Hull made the final in the 1980's. This does not happen these days.

Oh, as for beer prices, Having being there last year, a pint inside the stadium was £4.95. The boozers on Empire Way (near the retail park close to the stadium) were selling at £5 per pint. Not idea pricing, but ultimately its a one off and I reckon they could quite easily charge a lot more.

It's the lack of concessions in most parts of the ground that is the issue. I've just paid £110 for 2 tickets for my kids which is a disgrace

You could have bought Cat 4 seats which are good seats and have heavy discounts for kids. You aren't being priced out of buying a basic necessity, or even taking your kids to the game, you are choosing to pay a higher price because you want very good seats. I fail to see how that is a disgrace.

P.S - Apologies in advance if you have a visual impairment or similar which means you need to sit in the better seats.

As someone who sat on the very back row at the top of the stadium last year and still saw Houghton's tackle on Currie perfectly I can honestly say there isn't a bad seat in the house.

In 2013 I was towards the back of the lower tier. I got 3 tickets for nearly the same price. I think those in that upper tier will be pleasantly surprised.

The lower tier at Wembley is a bit expensive, but 2011 we sat on the very back row of the upper at £20, which wasn't great, it felt a bit disconnected, so went up a band to £30 in 2013, which was row 3 upper tier and an absolute fantastic view. This time we've managed to get row 3 again, but for £20.

Can't moan at that at all really. You won't pay that price for anything else in this day and age if you're talking football or music, and that's ignoring all the offers the RFL had been emailing for months in advance.

I sat in the lower tier in 2011, front of the top tier in 2013 and back of the top tier last year. Top tier has the best views and best value for money for me.

Quote: ComeOnYouUll "RFL Director Roger Draper has said they expect the attendance on Saturday to be around 65,000 although there won't necessarily be fewer there than in recent years as previously Club Wembley seats were counted regardless of whether or not they were occupied.

Hull FC have sold 16,000 tickets and Wigan 8,000. Draper said that in total they expect there to be 20,000 Hull FC fans in the stadium.'"

Thoughts?

Loads of people buy their CC tickets well in advance regardless of their team being there or not. There'll be plenty Wigan fans there on the day.

The only difference with this years crowd to the last 6 or 7 years is they'll have to accurately report this years. There hasn't been an 'actual' final crowd of over 70,000 for a good while now (as in there actually being over 70,000 with their bums sat on seats).

We'll take a bashing on the VT and in other places for Saturdays crowd no doubt but the truth is it'll be on a par and probably better then a few of the crowds in recent years.

We have only sold 8,000 as we have a large number of ypant, armchair critics that will not attend unless the team are playing perfect RL and winning 50-0.
