um so basically he just said that he wants the team to start putting out good performances which they can build on. and that if they do that, the wins will follow.
a completely standard and reasonable thing for a coach to say. watching people lose their minds over this on twitter is hilarious.

He said it's not about winning - it's a bloody ridiculous thing for a coach to come out and say. Could you imagine Mike Maguire or Tony Smith coming out with something like that? |

playing badly and squeaking out a win in this game isn't going to help them when the playoffs roll around. they need to start putting together consistent performances and letting the results follow.
he could have said the whole thing in a much better way but the sentiment is nowhere near as unusual as people are making out. |

Yes , in fact Tony Smith regularly talks about performance first and foremost , theory being that results generally follow . |

I understand the point he was trying to make - he just expressed it an absolutely awful way. Never looked convinced (and looked quite rattled) on the how hard are you finding the Leeds job question. |

No No No.. Noble is known for his late surges into plays off and Grand Finals Would be our luck that he come in to Leeds and did a miracle and then we'll have 'why have you sacked him?'
