I've known Sean since secondary school ("Cardy" class of '84), and this came as a massive shock when I got the news yesterday.
A good lad was Sean. Well liked, and well respected - the epitome of the term 'Gentle Giant'. Condolences to Louise and the kids.
You'll be sorely missed big lad!!
May he Rest In Peace.

Hindley teams are playing at tomorrows game. Because of Sean's association with Hindley/St Pats and the amateur game in Wigan, I think a minutes silence would be appropriate.

Sean was a great lad and a true gent, a fantastic role model for the kids he coached at Hindley, a very good RL player that could of turned pro but didn't want to turn his back on the police. My thoughts go out to his family.
R.I.P. big man.

Hindley under 14s will observe a minutes silence before our game at Leigh east and will wear black armbands, having known sean for many years I think it's the least we could do. The junior teams playing at Wakefield pre Wigan game will be asked to do the same and hopefully they will be allowed.

As some of you may wish to attend, or know some who would wish to:
Sean's Funeral is on Thursday 24th June.
A Humanist service at Aspull Village Club - 12 noon - everyone welcome.
Family and close friends will travel to Howe Bridge Crematorium then there is to be a Celebration of Sean's Life back at Aspull Village Club - again, everyone welcome.
An opportunity to give the Big Lad a Big send-off!!
