Excellent work from Mick Hogan and the team, its so pleasing to see these sort of things in place and working. The rest of SL should really be taking notes.

They are, but not for the reasons you and I would expect.

Quite a few are now querying the ethics of this approach. They argue that, while it's within the rules of the game, it's hardly within the spirit.

One or two journalists appear to be more supportive of Wigan's approach, until you see that - in defending the club's latest publicity initiative, they are actually drawing extra attention to its apparently questionable nature - and are thus damning us with faint praise.

Unexpectedly, more positive views have come from Wire and Saints fans. Many have been quick to point out that they would defend Wigan's right to attract larger crowds in this way, though they always add the caveat "even if I don't personally like it".

So reading what you actually posted, you've got it completely worng?

think they where sold at 4 quid a ticket or thereabouts, so its still gonna bring a small amount of revenue in, and if it means new fans paying to come again in the future then it's a great idea!

I know exactly that they PURCHASED 4k tickets. I'm not classing tickets distributed by the company as general public.

I class myself as public. No links to the company + so will have to buy my own tickets MYSELF as FULL PRICE + in PERSON down at the stadium....
