| Well in my opinion they should never be slowing things down to look at decisions "Frame by Frame". They should make decisions at Full Speed. If they can't make there mind up from that they give the try simple as that.
And I'd also argue that this Super slow mo wouldn't make a jot of difference. The thing with Cricket it is the camera focused on one man - i.e the batsmen or bowler. In rugby league there could be 4 or five men around an attempted try scoring. A wasted expense if you ask me. Unless these camera's have x-ray vision?

there's a huge amount more variables than in tennis or cricket, there is a much smaller area of where the ball is going to go for example, which allows the cameras to be focused in.

Refs and officials who are not retarded would also be great.

Dead right.
It seems to me the Video Ref these days spends his time looking for reasons not to give trys.

| The super slow mo is usually only found on programmes being shown on HD and as a previous poster said theres not enough interest in rugby league for it to be shown in HD and for me video ref's should be at all games or none at all. It seems every decision is sent upstairs when its on the telly but non televised matches decisions are given by the naked eye by in goal ref/linesman

What are you talking about? Rugby League has been shown in HD by Sky since the beginning of 2007!!

| The RFL are currently experimenting with a new type of ball for next season, it has a chip inside and will work similar to sat nav. It will tell the 4th official exactly where the ball is on the pitch and whether its over the line or not.

| Slow motion camera's, like the ones used in Cricket, are stupidly expensive and have a very small field of view. You'll notice they only every have them trained on one area at a time (usually the bats man) and will have 2 of them at most at the games.
To do something like that at Rugby would require 100's of them and the director would need to keep changing between them everytime a ball was passed.
Hawkeye is the same thing. Couldn't implement it over a whole rugby pitch with an acceptable accuracy, or even with conversions.

Can it also tell the mood and feelings of the ball carrier?
