Someone somewhere knows what's going on so, come on and let's all be informed---- if there ever was anything in it.'"
This is the same Bobby(ie) Goulding who is crying in the RL press that nobody in RL wants anything to do with him, and that he may be forced to speak to RU.

What has that got to do with this? It was Goulding who broke the story on twitter first so someone in RL clearly [idoes[/i have something to do with him and that is surely what is relevant here?
I am not saying he is right this time but it's a bit churlish to put him down when he was in fact correct at the start of all this.
I think the club needs to get a grip and realise things like Twitter drive news far faster than the old days where the odd press conference was news enough. It always seems to be reacting rather than setting the agenda and so now no sooner do we hear off Wilkinson Hock is staying we have another source who has already been proved correct once saying he is leaving regardless.

| I don't think the Eels are prepared to pay the compensation we want for cutting a 4 year contract short tbh.

| I'm not sure of the rules myself, and it seems very strange, but seen a few people saying that if Parramatta were to pay a fee it would count on their salary cap. I know in SL fees dont count but maybe they do in the NRL?

| Phil Wilkinson has just said "Hock to stay... and he's not the only one! Expect some Warriors news shortly." on twitter.
Hmmm sounds interesting.

| I'm feeling much more positive about the season if Hock is staying. He's our 'go to' man in the pack and along with Tomkins will always give you a sniff of winning any game.
Great news about the new deals as well. These were signed ages ago I believe but it's nice to have confirmation. It's also nice to see that the club are looking after Lockers both in the short term and long term by offering him a deal on the coaching staff when he retires.
As long as Hock does stay we'll do ok next year. I'd love to sign an experienced centre but we can't have everything.

I've always been a big Hock fan, but thinking about him and winning games, I am struggling to remember any where he has actually come up with something which has made a major difference in a tight game, which forwards like Graham, Lockers, Sinfield, Peacock, Westwood (even the likes of Feka) etc could reel off. Cameos within games he certainly has in his cv.
Would love to be proven wrong.

He was pretty immense against Saints at Langtree park for starters.

| Hello all, not sure where to post but this seemed as good as anywhere!
Just read the talk in AUS is that your trying to get Willie Tonga, not sure if its Hock transfer fee or totally separate.

I agree totally with you on this one Finfin,i too have always marveled at the genius of Hock's play although the majority of these were in walk overs when we were the totally dominant side,i haven't seen too many of these performances when we were in the trenches so to speak,a classic example is this seasons GF semi against Leeds where he was almost anonymous
Gareth is a luxury player who can rip sides to bits when it suits but i would swap him anytime for Gareth Ellis
