No i do not believe what he said.
Time and time again in the past he has used the press for his own personal agenda, i see no reason why he is not playing this game again.
A game that he is very good at, its a shame he does not have the same ability when it comes to coaching, he may still have a job at Wigan next year.

16522.jpg "Wigan Athletic - No known famous fans. The town (of Wigan) apparently goes into hibernation when the Rugby League season ends!" Daily Mail Online feature, July 2009

They will stop degrading us,
They will not control us,
WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS!

Wigan RLFC - The Uprising!
-----------------------------------------------------------
Wigan footballer Mohamed Diame described the home of mint balls and pies as 'cr**py'.
But Tomkins boomed: "I don't want to know what he thinks. I don't even know his name. He only plays for Latics.":16522.jpg |

| Noble's going and IMO he is aware of this.
The new coach of Wigan should be made to watch this rlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v and this rlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v before taking up his post, to avoid serving up the same e that we've had to watch over the past 3 seasons.

Which in turn is a damned sight better than the e we would've been watching if we'd continued on the downward spiral we were in mid 2006. Noble may have his shortcomings but as I've said before he's done a lot of good work in his time at Wigan and although it may be time to move on he can leave with his head held high knowing he did the best he could, which in my eyes is the best that can be expected from anyone.

You obviously do believe him.
The question is ... why?

16304_1526976105.jpg [b:2md8k3b3]'Do you remember when we had that meeting in Orlando? We talked about how we were knocked out the previous year by Leeds. And at the end, I asked you one question. "Do you want to be a semi-final team? Or do you want to do something special?" You all said you wanted to win. But talking is easy – it needed you to believe. It needed you to work hard – harder than you had – and make sacrifices. You did all that. you worked for each other. You stuck together when it was tough. And because of your efforts, you sit here tonight as champions. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourselves. You've done something special.'

Exactly.
It was the same when we signed Amos Roberts, people can not say that their were no strong front rowers available at the time but they were snapped up by other clubs.
If Brian Noble does leave, which looks increasingley likely then part of the reason for this imo will be his failure to add strength to the team in the areas where we needed it.

23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |

There we go the wheels are motion, Dixon leaving paves the way for Noble to enter and that just leaves who's gonna coach Wigan and when we'll find out.

2553.gif I've seen them bomb a quarter final, bottle a semi final, finish as league leaders, but I've still, never, seen the Wire win the league

IMO the right world class prop was available but it looks like he will only arrive in 2011.
And yes, if Gleeson had been a good bit of business then i would have admitted so but as i said at the time...it was good business on Warringtons part.'"
il signs the players - noble provides a wish list, IL signs them or his choice on his terms - hence why we have mark riddell and not michael ennis at 9. IL thought ennis was too much money and came back with riddell - undoubtedly similar to the signing of roberts?
nobby overruled by the powers that be. for all we know nobby may have been asking for a prop all year?
