Just re-signed with Wakefield for a further 2 years, in my opinion the most underrated player in SL.

I agree, regularly see the lad in the gym, always trains hard and always gives his all. I once referred to him as a poor mans rob burrow, but his form this season has changed my mind, tough player with plenty of heart. Wakefield have done well to tie him down cos i think come the end of the year a few bigger clubs would have been in for him.

He'd be my guess due to him being a fantastic player yet to crack the first team.

The way Flanagan has played the club has been proved right to give him first shot even though he's leaving. At the time i'd have given the opportunity to Farrell as a player that was going to be here beyond the end of the season.

Would this "gem" be going on a perm basis or part of a link between Wigan and an NRL club which IL has spoken about.
Flanagan may be off to Wests but perhaps IL has negotiated with two clubs, one in Sydney and one in Queensland.
If it's a swap deal I'd like to see the calibre of the young player the Broncos send to us.

Unless a young lad is addicted to pies and the Wigan climate if you send them to Oz you may as well buy them a one way ticket IMO.

I'd be happy sending any of our young players down under as part of a link up with an NRL club bar Liam Farrell.

He should be in and around the first team next season.
