| Just that moment when French scooped the ball up, when I was thinking, oh no, the best he can do is knock it over the dead-ball line. But what do I know? Why not do a U-turn through the posts and bring the ball back way upfield? Just worth the price of admission alone. And then there's Jake Wardle... Just great entertainment.

| Credit to Leigh, they really took it to us in that game great intensity to their defence and line speed. looked like a finals game. Lam has done a great job, both getting some quality players in and with their playing style.
Brought out the best in Wigan, committed defence, 100% concentration and attitude, and some amazing skill.
Wardle alone was worth the admission money then you have French and Mashall - and O'Neill defence - what a player he is.

| Quote: moto748 "To be fair, Itchy, although I fully agree with you, people who were saying that King was missed weren't claiming he was better than Wardle, more than Keighran had a rather indifferent start to the season.'"
Moto I was inferring that Wardle is a centre and King is an athlete who can only dream of having a fraction of Wardle’s skills.

| Pleasure watching Wigan at the min, shout out to Leigh gave 100% only beaten by a great team,Leigh would have beaten most if not all SL teams on that showing.
A shout out to the Leigh fans on re-hashing songs/chants from other teams a particular favourite "stand up if you hate wigan".
Couldnt decide between Wardle and French MOM but outstanding, also Marshall (still cant get picked for England)best winger in the comp and O'neil what a machine outstanding tackle on Mulhern to be followed by a sin-bin (farce) even Mulhern acknowledged it as Brad was walking off (fair play to him).
Roll on next week could push the Saints fans over the edge if the result goes our way with Cas upsetting them.

| Quote: NSW "Upmost respect for Leigh.
Moylan/Lam great partnership.
Asiata a brilliant loose
Amone, Ipape Mulhern is one of the best front rows in SL.
They’ll be highly motivated to get there first win over us as the leopards and I wouldn’t be surprised if they get one this week or the Tuesday game.'"
As expected Leigh turned up massively, with huge motivation, I don’t mean this in a derogatory way but they played like it was their GF last night. Their line speed caught us off guard massive and they won the forward battle on the whole I’d say.
The difference was the sheer class we have with the ball as has already been mentioned. Our last ditch defence is incredible too, we bent a lot but rarely broke.
A few players I want to pick out.
French - what more needs to be said. Just sit back and enjoy. Buy a ticket to watch him while we’ve got him.
Marshall - having an incredible season, literally 9/10 every week.
Wardle - I got laughed at on the Wire board for saying he’s a top 5 centre in the world but I stick by that. He is silk.
Farrimond - I was strangely more impressed with him tonight than the London game. He didn’t get much ball and we went through the left alot but defensively he was superb. Leigh targeted him but he stood up massively, even putting shots on. His feud with Moylan reminded me of Smithies first game feuding with Greg Bird. Young lion vs Old lion. A good trait to have.
Brad O’Neill - no other super league fan thinks this but I don’t care, he’s the best 9 in superleague by some distance. Defensively outstanding for us, puts on massive shots, has an incredible engine and was everywhere covering. He’s brilliant.
Throughly enjoyable game, fair play to Leigh too for many it a great contest.
Hopefully the match review panel leave the game alone and we can have a similar team against saints next week.
All 4 trophies in the bag, top of the league by 4 points, watching some incredible rugby with a great local coach. It won’t last forever but I’m enjoying every minute.

That scoop was ridiculous, when you look at that and then the Hampshire dropped ball at Wire you just realise what a world class player he is.

| Great posts in this thread, can't argue with any of it. I'll just add the Keighran had a solid return from a month off on both sides of the ball, more of the same please!

| Lots of our overseas signings get a bit of attention from fans and to a certain extent I think Ellis gets overlooked because of the likes of French and Field doing what they do but I think Ellis has been a superb addition to the team as well.
Tough, great go forward, does the niggley stuff very well and also plays some nice eyes up rugby too ball in hand and is very damaging in defence.
Thought he was excellent again last night.
Keighran after a slow start is starting to find his feet in attack too which is very promising. Defensively he’s been fantastic and he’s another very tough lad which I didn’t really see before we signed him however his attacking influence wasn’t at the levels I expected but he’s getting there now and after a month off I thought he didn’t lose any momentum in that regard from where he left off pre ban.

| Leigh will beat most opponents on that showing. Very determined effort by a pretty decent team. I'm glad for Lammy. Wigan legend as a player, and had some tough things to deal when he was our coach.

I said during the game Ellis has been one of our best pack signings from Australia, Keighran made some good runs from the back when we were under pressure.

| So glad we're shut of these delusional Adrian Lam press conferences at Wigan.
"I thought we were the better team to be honest,”
"I think we counted six times when we probably should have scored had we taken a different option."
Anyone remember when he said we had the best attacking shape in the competition in late 2021 off the back of three try less games?
