Good interesting thread, and jogged my memory with regard to RL players and BBC's Superstars (I'm not going to get that tune out of my head now!). Offiah was the quickest I've seen, but certainly Fielding, Drummond and others mentioned also had pace.
One that comes to mind in the P&B, is Richard Henare, who looked very rapid but didn't have the durability of the others.

Is this Paul Sampson who played for Wakefield and then went to Union. If so he was rapid and think he came from a sprinting back ground before rugby. |

Calvert came down from Whitehaven and played a trial game for Wigan v Saints at reserve level. He scored a good try but defensively was weak, reminded me very much of Mark Preston.
